Lewan at 157 gets a 3-1 decision, managed a takedown in the first period.
March 18th, 2022 at 12:29 PM ^
Lewan decided to give us less drama than in his matches yesterday!

Good challenge on that Amine non-takedown.

Link of the video on the takedown for those that want to see it.
Excellent.
Here's the embed.
That is just a filthy takedown.
Bull rush right into the Iowa wrestler, who appeared to be flat footed. Awesome win.
Amine made him flat footed with just enough hand pressure, brilliant takedown.

C. Amine at 165 wins in OT over Marinelli of Iowa.
Marinelli has one of the strangest resumes ever --- 4x B1G champion, never moved beyond the QF in the NCAA.
Each time he lost, that wrestler won the NCAA title.
Well that particular streak was ended.
March 18th, 2022 at 12:45 PM ^
Michigan has taken the lead in overall with that win
March 18th, 2022 at 12:59 PM ^
Massa looking solid too
Massa with the 8-3 win at 174.
Took down Plott of OkState 3 times, and had 2:16 of riding time.
Miles Amine dominating early. Up 6-2 after 1, two takedowns plus backpoints.
Make that 7-2 afrer 2.
McSomething, thank you for all of these updates! It's been great following along with what's happening.
Absolutely, just wish I could be far more in depth. Doing this on my phone, especially while at work, makes it a bit more difficult.
Myles just misses the major!
At 184 Miles Amine defeats Braunagel of Illinois 12-5. Word is the Illinois AD has already submitted a request to be recognized as a co-semifinalist.
somehow I missed this match. WTH
Brucki has to wrestle twice this morning?
If he wants to win out and take 3rd place (best possible finish at this point) .... it's 2 matches this AM, 2 matches tonight, 2 matches tomorrow AM.
The wrestle-backs are a tough road.
Thansk man!
Maybe tomorrow I'll write up a diary before the finals as a kind of "road to the championship" breakdown for everyone.
Please do! We need an MGoWrestling Correspondent
*thinking* maybe I should see if I could get something like that posted to the main page....
Anyone got Seth's number?!
he regulalry responds to me on twitter. he was aware of the Big Ten Championship and has a conversation with a really nice penn state blogger where she told him what's up
Man I thought Binghamton was about to help us big time with the upset at 197, wasn't to be
Yeah, that's two in a row where Max Dean (PSU) was very fortunate to win. Now he gets a #21 seed in the SF too, he's living a bit charmed.
I’m a Dean fan for a local kid but dang he may have gotten away with one yesterday.
At Heavyweight Parris falls 6-5 to Schultz of Arizona State.
Damn
Double-Damn.
His season has been somewhat of a disappointment after what he did last year. Figured the ASU kid would be a bit much for him.
285 is brutal.
Usually is.
I guess the good news is Kerk has to wrestle Steveson in the semis, so we could still catch them at that weight
Is this on tv?
ESPNU and ESPN3 I believe.
All 8 Mats are available on ESPN 3. Follow the team's Twitter account to see which wrestler will be on which Mat. The Twitter account will usually give you an "on deck" warning.
ESPN3 has a "matcast" view that let's you see all 8 mats at once, then each mat has their own feed you can watch exclusively.
