I hope so too. Jail time and the loss of any MSU retirement benefits. There's no reason that Michigan tax payers should be supporting her.

However, I suspect that this result puts an upper bound on her punishment, which is a shame. If the guy who was directly responsible for managing Nassar gets a year, it's hard to argue that the person who was responsible for managing the people who managed Nassar should get that sort of sentence.

Strampel was aquitted of all the felony charges and found guilty of neglect of duty. At least he loses his freedom for a year. This guy is a total POS!!!!

Hopefully the judge will decide Simon should go to trial. Then Klages, then Hollis, then Engler, then Dicktonio, etc.

"Remember, this is the guy who told Nassar not to see patients alone and then never checked to see if Nassar was following his orders."

More like remember, this is the guy that had tapes of Nassar's "exams" on his computer.

Isn’t he the guy that was charged with having inappropriate pictures of students and being a creep to other staff? If so I assume that he’ll have even more time away from home once this is all said and done.

I know it's common and probably standard for sentences to run concurrently, but I really wish the judge had his run consecutively.  In effect, he's been found guilty of two separate reprehensible things, but he's only being punished for one of the two.
