If my name was Benton, Munchie would be my first choice for a name change as well. However, if my name was something like Robert I think I'd just call myself Tate.

I think if we can get this kid and hold onto Devin Gardener we will be OK as far as QBs. perhaps we can drop our focus from QB depth to LB and DE depth. I guess getting this kid will make up for not offering the Raper.

Jeez guys calm down...We don't know if this kid even NEEDS to be the future of Michigan football. Tate's only a freshman, if he has a good year this year, we won't need Munchie. Tate shouldn't be replaced if he does well. Sounds like Tate is WAAAAAAAAAYYYY underrated to me. In a few years, think of the possibilities! Don't forget he's rated as the #5 best rushing QB in the country.

I thought it had been a while. The last thing I'd ever call Tate is WAAAAAAAAYYYY underrated. I think he's properly rated. Mike Hart and Pat White were underrated - did you know they were three stars out of high school? We need more QBs UMx, and to think anything else is absurd.

Actually, I don't know why I said that. I don't think he is WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY underrated, but I don't really think everyone else realizes how good he actually was in high school. But once this Munchie guy visited Ann Arbor, everyone was like O MY GOD O MY GOD O MY GOD HE'S COMING HERE WE NEED HIM! We don't know that yet. He' still got another year of high school! He could go anywhere else, and Michigan could do just fine with Tate and D Rob. Tate and D Rob have yet to play in an actual game. We don't know if we will even need Munhcie at the 2009 seasons end. What if Tate and D Rob combine and go 9-3 and beat Ohio State? Not saying the QB situation is good, but I don't believe it's as bad as people are making it out to be. Even with Tate under center, I say it is impossible for Michigan to do worse than last year. I say is is nearly impossible that they miss out on a bowl. Tate has spread experience and the youngsters from last year have a year under their belt. Sure we have 2 freshman and a backup junior from last year. But we still have David Cone and that Furraha guy coming as a walk on. And if he needs to, Feagin can still play QB. Thats 5-6 QBs, and you are saying we need more? Why would we need more than that? If Tate gets hurt, we go to D Rob. If D Rob gets hurt, we can always go to Sheridan or Feagin. (It's very unlikely that both would get hurt anyway).

And in what game, other than against Minnesota, did you think Sheridan played any better than a D- ? The Penn State game? Utah? Ohio State? You honestly want David Cone playing? Nader Furrha, a walk-on freshman? Did you see Feagin throw a ball last year? No, you didn't. There's a reason for that. Michigan currently has one capable QB on its roster, Tate. This summer that will increase to 2 with Robinson. Next year Devin is silently committed. That's three. We need more than 3 dual threat QBs in the system. And you're overreacting way too much to the excitement over Munchie - most of which is due to the name.

Um, yes I did. I watched the whole thing painfully, just like you. And no, I don't want those guys playing. But a team can only have a certain amount of QBs. Why would any team need any more than 3-4 Dual Threat QBs? Thats a total waste of talent since all of them can't play in one game anyway. Why would the most talented QB in the country want to come here anyway if there's already 3 QBs with talent almost equal to him in Tate, D Rob, and Devin?
