I'd rather talk about Air Force shoes and apparel and the sudden rise of Adidas.

I've never heard of a bad offensive line ruining a good QB.

The oline makes Speight throw fades out of bounds? The oline makes Speight overthrow receivers?
Ridiculous assertion

but probably could be discussed in one of the dozen threads about the offense already posted today, or yesterday or the day before or the snowflakes on game day

It seems like people can't discern the difference between bad throws and bad decision making.
A guy in the live thread kept bringing up Speight's bad decision making all season. He got especially upset when Speight passed to a WR on a called WR screen. To this chap that was poor decision making because the play ended up only getting couple yards.

When I was at the USAF game, I was watching him closely and was pretty impressed with how many reads he goes through both pre and post snap. Doesn't always make the great throw, but his decision making has been sound.

...I can't downvote this even if it may seem like beating a dead horse. I thought those were pretty good. I will say that I had the same thought running through my head in regards to OP's last paragraph. You would think that practicing against that D would have you prepared for anything. My only thought was that maybe the first team goes against the scout team, so you may not be facing that some front 7 that could be the best in CFB.
