Congrats to Mike! Will be a great opportunity for him to experience an NBA camp situation.

To be completely frank, due to his size and lack of pure scoring punch, I don't see a place in the NBA in the future. He was a workable defender in college thanks to his effort and fundamentals, but I can't see those being enough at the next level. Meanwhile he's a good distributor, but doesn't do enough otherwise offensively to warrant overlooking the physical weaknesses.

That being said, I think he'll have a shot at an overseas league where those weaknesses are less prevalent and we all know he's a smart guy in the classroom, so I have no doubt he's got a bright future representing Michigan wherever he winds up.

You never know. I don't think anyone had Duncan Robinson going to the NBA, let alone becoming a record-breaking sharpshooter.

If the Bucks have a weakness, it's outside shooting. Mike Smith might stand a chance if that's why they extended the invite. And if not, he still has an Ivy League bachelor's and a Michigan master's to fall back on. Not a bad set of options.

But Duncan has legit size, to go with a great shot. The shot translated (maybe even improved), unlike with Stauskas, and he really worked on his defense, but the size goes a long way to helping mitigate his other weaknesses, such as athleticism.

When you're undersized, you really need to excel in other areas (typically athleticism at a minimum) to overcome it...

Should be a great exhibition for him that will entice international clubs to lock him down if he can’t make the NBA. He’s def got a good 5+ year career at some level in him.
