Can't even cover the spread against a high school team.... what a joke

Michigan has never been good ATS as long as I've been alive

MTSU wins second half!
Hype train keeps rolling!

Pat Forde all of a sudden looks like a savant.

Kelly-Powell looks shaky at best.

glasgow is a tough, versatile, rock solid player so not surprised in the least he beat out gil at will...but gil losing his job does add further confusion to why gil played so much over ross last year.
interesting to see them rotating in some younger guys but not playing the frosh DT.
spanellis hurt too?
time to rethink the frequency of the fake jet motion inside zones. nice to have on tape but prob not worth all the time itll take to get it running smoothly every single time.
plenty of positives but tons of work to do

Let Milton go yard here.

The offense being bad is one thing - it’s a new system
The defense being bad is completely out of left field.
They are bad. This year could be really long with such a bad d line.

Defense is replacing 3 first round draft picks. They gave up nothing outside of turnovers and this garbage time score. They did blow some opportunities to generate turnovers and make more plays but I see improvement coming. Offense is shaky with so many linemen and receivers hurt and chaos in terms of packages and playcalling
August 31st, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
Well, who do they have? All their great players from the last couple years are now in the NFL. Who on this defense could possibly play in the NFL? Maybe Vert Hill
This is not a an athletic, talented defense. No guaranteed NFL players

This is what happens when you go conservative and let a team hang around. Michigan should be up by 40.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:05 PM ^
Another disappointment in this game. 40-14 sounded ok. 40-21 not so much.

Secondary is better than expected, D-Line might be an issue. OLine wasn’t at full strength, but if we can’t blow MTSU off the ball we may need to get creative in the run game. Still looks like Harbaugh is making the calls, offense didn’t look that much different

Jaylen Kelly-Powell is not gonna play again at Michigan. He’s brutal.
Overall, D was fine. Gave up some chunks, but 14 points came on short fields.
Probably should’ve been 47-14 or something if Hill holds onto the ball twice.

We’ll be in a couple of shootouts this year...

With Maryland and Rutger.

I wonder if Harbaugh would be a good coach if he was worried about ever being fired?
August 31st, 2019 at 11:07 PM ^
Dierdorff's analysis has been a little rough, but his view of the way forward is spot on.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
MTS played hard for 60 minutes. We got work to do but we have a lot of talent and if we clean up the turnovers and a couple missed tackles we will be fine. Ambry is back and that is a big plus.

Take down Army, get healthy, battle Wisconsin.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
This game should have been 54-14. Jim Harbaugh has never been one to put a team away. I don't know how Rutgers 78-0 happened.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
This looked like a “pre-season” game and with as long as the season is, I’d rather see the mistakes in this one, but they need to get better in many respects and grow up quick.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
Overall a good first game, and the coaches have things to work on.
August 31st, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
Too much sloppy play.
Need more practice.
