Anyone else getting very concerned about Susalla, though? She looks completely lost at the plate. Seems like she's swinging without much of a clue or plan?

First it was Christner then Susalla..We REALLY need them both...We are going to have to out score teams in high scoring game if Betsa is going to keep walking and hitting batters...Ive said it all season long she gets rattled easily
even more than the results.
She doesn't seem at all keyed in to the pitch. She's missing by a lot and not really close with her timing on most of these misses.
She does have a big lever on her swing which equals power, and when the levers come together right to connect, it's a powerful softball swing, but that's a big lever on her tall frame, and her long arms make that lever super long, as well. In baseball and softball, long and thin always means mechanics need to be right on or it all goes to heck.
Having played, it's concerning to see she looks that far off. She's not off by just a little, it seems.
She looks really uncomfortable and just seems to be waiving at the ball. She did have a good swing on a ball she hit foul down the right field line, but the rest were weak. This is something that she will just have to swing her way out of and hope it happens soon.
I was thinking maybe move Blanco up and Susalla down in the lineup. That may take a little pressure off of her.

Unfortunately, I had to work (because people are evil and schedule things for holiday weekends) so I couldn't watch the game. Looks like we gutted one out today. That's alright. The true measure of a team is getting the wins that don't come easy. And very few, if any, will come easy from this point on.
It sounds like Susalla still hasn't figured it out. I wish we knew what was going on with her. She's looked completely lost at the plate for a few weeks now. This isn't just a slump. She looks like she's completely forgotten how to do this softball thing.
lol, stay classy alabama. UW girl clearly gets hit on her wrist which would have loaded the bases. Instead umpire misses it, saying it hit her bat instead for a foul/strike. UW girl is hurt so training staff comes out to look at her hand/wrist. Alabama crowd boos her.
