Michigan pursuing former Ole Miss CB per Sam Webb
Ok I scanned the board like 3 times for this because its been out for a while and comes from Sam. It's Davison Igbinosun, a freshman All-American who was just outside the composite top 150 in 2022. He's one of Partridge's New Jersy kids, apparently Partridge vouched for us which is cool. Sam says there's mutual interest.

Wonder if this is the smoke to Partridge returning to staff as analyst, biding his time until he gets is next big job, like McElwain did.

I think this solidifies the position. As is now I suspect Mikey was going to get some run outside and Moore possibly to Nickel. This would wipe out the need to tinker and give McBurrows and the in coming freshmen time to rotate in as that third guy early and gain the necessary experience required to play Big Ten corner at a high level like Will Johnson did at the end of the year. This would be a huge get defensively IMO.

Things in our favor:
- Sam says he is good academically
- Endorsement from Partridge
- Immediate starting playing time available on a championship calibre team
- I really want him on the team
Things that give me pause:
- Has a brother at Rutgers
- other schools listed are well known for pay for play: Texas A&M, Tennessee, USC
- Coming from Ole Miss he may prioritize schools that are known for pay for play
- Would have to wait until April to enroll at UM but he can enroll immediately at other schools

I think the waiting until April/May to enroll at Michigan is going to be a big obstacle IMO. I don't know if he would be able to play spring ball without being enrolled.
Some of the other schools he is looking at like UCLA and Tennessee would still allow him to register for a Spring 2023 semester and play spring ball. I think if his recruitment runs into February, Michigan's odds may increase.
