Michigan opens -29.5 vs Maryland

Durkin's defense gave up 414 rushing yards at Indiana yesterday and 650 yards total.
Sounds about right.

The head coach who was a DC for most of his career isn't responsible for the defense?
Hm.

Nothing Durkin can conjure up changes that.

tendencies on offense, but Jim also knows Durkin's defensive weaknesses...the gate swings both ways, and I have more confidence in OUR coach to capitalize.

like ash did against osu because he saw osu`s offense everyday in practice the last two years

Wtf. We are a 30 point favorite this week. Will probably be -14-17 @Iowa, and -24-27 vs Indiana. 3 of the next 4 scare you?
We will be undefeated heading into Columbus.

They are not as good as they were last year by a fair margin.

If anything, yesterday says just how terrible Maryland's defense is.
Indiana has some RBs. But it's not a rivalry game and they're coming here.
October 30th, 2016 at 5:44 PM ^
They also play an offense UM has seen multiple times already. Why people fear IU this year I do not know,
UM has already played a better version of this offense in Colorado and won.

Maybe covering will also get SQ to move away from the MGoLedge.

and are without their best CB(Likely).
UM should romp. Maryland will probably make some plays on the edge, but it won't be done consistently.
Maryland was blown by Penn State and Minnesota.

The Harbaugh-Durkin dynamic gives this game some sizzle that it wouldn't ordinarily have.
October 30th, 2016 at 6:13 PM ^
I'm going to cool my jets this week on my Michigan bet. This will be a relatively small bet. Lesson learned from last weekend. Michigan has the ability to win by 40 but Harbaugh probably won't want to embarrass a former assistant. I can see Michigan jumping out to a 28- to 32-point lead and then playing 3rd and 4th string the rest of the way. Beware the late cover by Maryland.

These guys were battered and bloody after a 1 on 1 basketball game...I think you do not know our coach very well

Well presumably, Harbaugh did not expect his DC to be job-hunting the week of the OSU game, so it's easier to give him a pass for that awful defensive showing. And the word is that after that game, the parting was mutual.

I do think he'll need some help, though. Louisville will need to lose again or Jackson will need to have an AWFUL game. But right now if say he's 2-3 in the standings. Watson has not impressed, and Barrett is probably out after 2-3 meh weeks. Browning from UW is legit, but at this rate, if he keeps this up, Peppers is at least getting an invite to NY. Probably won't win since the Heisman committee is blatantly biased towards offensive players, but the fact that Peppers affects the game in all three phases could help him.
As long as he doesn't implode, I think he at least gets invited.

Listen to Harbaugh.
There is only one team to worry about: whoever is next on the schedule.

-30 is insulting....it should be at least -50
And Durkin needs to eat a Brown Donut

Not sure about the 50 number, but that's a great line about Durkin eating a Brown Donut. Wish I could upvote more.

+1 for the brown donut

As if Harbaugh and his staff aren't aware of that and certainly will not break tendency nor develop a rational competitive strategy to beat the defense Maryland has put on film this year.

I think it depends on how slow or fast a start UM gets. I could totally see the team having a bit of a hangover from the state game and taking a while to get going.
