Michigan Opens at 1 Point Road Favorite and Quickly Swings to 3 Point Road Dog vs Rutgers

Submitted by alum96 on

What's the saying?  When you look around the room and can't find the sucker... the sucker is you?

Even the suckers in Vegas are no longer putting money on the name brand team.  I think when a line swing's 4 pts in minutes that tells you something.

The only game we should be favored in the rest of the year are the two vs bye.

Editor's Note: We initially reported that Michigan was a one-point road favorite against Rutgers, that number quickly changed so we decided to post a story with the correct Vegas line.

According to VegasInsiders, the Wolverines are 3-point road underdogs heading into New Jersey after suffering back-to-back lackluster performances at home against Minnesota and Utah. When the first odds were posted, VegasInsiders initially had Michigan as 1-point road favorites to open, but quickly went in Rutgers favor.

this is one that the Mch-O really needs.  From Eye-Formation.  This is from the Old NavarreQB-MaloneOC RoseBowl period.

Unfortunately--  it is a kind-of Timing Play and needs to be worked at a LOT.  In Practise, In-Game.  Otherwise is can Blow-Up BAD.

Lead-Draw can serve to Neutralize the series of LB-DB Fire-Schemes, that show-up.  Borges Did NOT use Lead Draw.

Do NOT expect to see Lead-Draw from The Nuss-O . . .

now, back in the RRod and Borges Period when the Above Just Got Too Technical to understand, or didnt want to do For One Reason Or Another--

the answer was to run DRob 20-25 times a game.  ESP with RRod.

The Nuss-O will NOT be able to do this next year with Morris.

This is WHY--  Nuss O-call sequencing is SO IMPORTANT.  And important--  NOW  . . .

we will move from my RunGame Comments to the PassGame.  Here again, the Nuss-O is Scattered.

I think the use of RB-Screen and RB-Hitch is a place to start.  Here again, RB-Screen is a throwback to the Old NavarreQB-MaloneOC period.  BOTH are Timing Plays. So they need to be worked at constantly.

The Nuss-O has actually USED BOTH, which is encouraging, esp-the use of RB-Hitch in that one game.  But-- here again, the use appears to be Scattered, and not linked to any meaningful O-call sequencing.

Like TB-lead Draw, RB Screen-Hitch is a way to Neutralize LB-DB Fires schemes, esp-as the O-reaches the midfield area, wherein the Nuss-O has had so many problems.  The @-NDm game for eg.
