Yeah but don't we deserve to expect a team to get better at managing close, late games? It's why you work on 2 minute drills and 30 second last possessions in basketball. Just because you're a young player doesn't mean you get a pass to just shit the bed at the end of the game.

There's a clear lack of leadership on this team, plain and simple.

everyone who knows anything about college basketball knows this.

First you lose close, then you win close, then you win big,

It sucks that we're on a reset, but when you lose 5 guys early entry in two years and you don't recruit like all but about three teams in the country who can deal with that like it's nothing, you're on a reset.

No one gets a pass, but youth is far more the reason for late game collapses than bad coaching. Particularly when you have a guy who is universally recognized as a great coach. With that said, I cannot understand how no one can draw up a fucking inbounds play.

How were they outcoached? A 95% foul shooter misses, and a 5% 3 point shooter makes. Yep, that's coaching. The team shot 60% in the first half with easy look after easy look. And the refs completely blew 2 calls with a highly questionable 3rd on the late inbounds play. Coaching?

I didn't watch the game tonight, but wtf did they not learn from MSU the other day? Then again this seems like it's a regular thing with Beilein's teams plus bad inbounding.

This loss sucked, but what the fuck is wrong with you people? Did losing to NJIT and eastern somehow make you think that we'd tear through the big ten? Why is it a surprise that we choke late in games? The rest of this season will suck, deal with it and quit acting like my 2 year old when I take away his pacifier. Grow the fuck up and deal with it

We choke late in games all the time. It's not a thing just this year. It needs to stop. It's also not often I see a team loses with a 5 point lead with 20 seconds to go let alone Michigan. Like said below we might not lose another game like that for decades. So don't tell everyone to "deal with it".

My dad went to bed after regulation was over because he had seen enough. I however decided to endure those overtimes. That was probably the most gut wrenching of many gut wrenching losses this season. Im so tired of seeing our opponents hit clutch threes. Im so tired of seeing our inbounding be terrible. I dont understand why we never tried fouling before they attempted either of those three's they made. So frustrating. That probably eliminated our NIT chances.

The only way that could have been worse is if we were actually playing for so thing more than a possible NIT bid. One of the most brutal losses possible to endure. Really, we might not lose another game this way in the next 25 seasons. Great basketball game though.

I assumed we wldnt make the NIT for awhile. So I am not sure why people are surprised. This is a .500 team or below. That's who they are.
