I did not expect Mason Graham to look like that, lol.
Seconded.
Plays mean, hides that cuddly smile under the helmet.
Man that video gave me chills! Also totally didn't expect Mason Graham to look like that either. The kid is a stud on the field!
Perils of buying into offseason hype aside... it does feel like there's a meaningful culture change.
Higher expectations through earned confidence and hard work vs. the projected bravado that sometimes accompanied offseason talk in past years.
Go Blue!
I'll third the comments about not expecting Mason Graham to look like that.
Also, Kris Jenkis...couldn't be more impressed by him. That guy's a dude.
Kris Jenkins, after football is over for him, definitely has a career in media, television, radio, should he so desire. Seems like a great kid, he is super bright.
Great personality. Could also be a coach...would get them running through a wall for him.
Team is stacked, culture is legit. Just need some fck'ing luck!
He's got that Pop Smoke rasp to his voice....very powerful.
Feel like running through a brick wall after that - Team on a mission. Let's get it
I’d like to be first to nominate this team for best all time hair.
Let it be known the strength of our team was in the hair the whole time (who knew?)
Mostly agree but Braiden McGregor is definitely going to feel embarrassed when they show his hairstyle from this era at his wedding or something lol
Watching them in practice drills, it seemed like even when they were in pads, everyone was wearing what appeared to be very small shoulder pads. Granted, I haven't played football since the Clinton administration, but I'm not used to seeing DL and OL with equipment that I tend to think of as QB and WR pads. Perhaps it's a deliberate effort to focus on speed?
That was awesome! We look tough to beat this year.
Also, I always enjoy seeing some fool getting hurtled!!
Looking forward to watching this team in just two short months. A lot of guys came back who didn't have to, who could've taken that NFL paycheck and not been blamed an ounce for it.
I love that the mindset has "evolved" to the ultimate goal of winning a national championship. For some reason I could not stand it when Hoke said this team's primary goal was just to win the Big Ten. I know he never would've turned down an opportunity to play for a title, but something about his saying that just always rubbed me the wrong way. It just felt like such an outdated, yet "classic Michigan" mode of thinking. But I digress.
In any case, this sure looks like a team on a mission. If they want to win it all they're going to have to get through some major hurdles, because you know OSU, and some combination of Georgia/Alabama are going to be standing in their way. And you can never downplay having to go on the road to Happy Valley. But if there's ever a year to win, this might be it for the foreseeable future.
OSU's breaking in a new QB and has a suspect defense in big games until proven otherwise. You get them at home. Georgia and Alabama are breaking in new QBs. Clemson appears to have stepped back from where it was 2-3 years ago. Still very good, but no longer elite. USC has no defense whatsoever until they prove otherwise, Penn State still has to prove it can take that "next step," and Drew Allar is a question mark (for now). Maybe Joe Milton will be good at Tennessee, but the question of how good can legitimately be asked. And then who knows if LSU is ready in Year 2 under Brian "Crawdad" Kelly.
This year might be as close to "the stars aligning" for Michigan as its going to get for quite a while.
