Michigan Hockey on BTN+

Submitted by UNCWolverine on October 8th, 2021 at 12:22 PM

Decided to finally subscribe to BTN+ as 15 Michigan hockey games will be shown on that sub-channel this season. This team is just too talented to miss out on that many games.

I've had the Roku/Youtube TV combo going for several years now and very happy with it. However I cannot figure out how to watch BTN+ with this setup. On my Roku homescreen I searched for BTN or BTN+ app, nowhere to be seen. When I googled my predicament I read that everything BTN migrated over to the Fox Sports app. So I downloaded that app and while I see BTN on their app, I do not see BTN+.

My only option to watch tonight's opener at this point is to run an HMDI cable from my laptop to my TV. Anyone have any other suggestions to watch BTN+ directly on my TV?

I thought Fox Sports became Bally Sports?

Can't you add BTN+ through Youtube or Hulu and watch it directly from there?  Or download the app on your phone/tablet/watch on computer and cast it to the TV?

On the firestick there is a clear BTN+ app - I would've expected that'd be the same for Roku but apparently not

Prepared to be underwhelmed by the BTN+ "production". If this is all they're offering, it's really something Michigan should just be streaming online for free

Underwhelmed is an understatement!

Horrendous production with some games having 1 camera up high at center ice just going back & forth.  Announcing that is awful & clearly not done by the BTN+ because there are long silent pauses when the "announcing crew's" feed goes to commercial but BTN+ does not.  While the pauses are bad but the announcers are so bad that there are times I wish the entire game was silent

This is part of the reason I refuse to subscribe. They don't make it a real service. The quality is terrible and the app is compatible with next to nothing. They put in zero effort in a pitiful cash grab.
