While OSU is playing checkers...
Why PT? Are they doing it in Cali?
Just copied what was posted on twitter. Maybe chess.com is based in California or west coast.
Cool
Dale Chesson has this one in the bag
Smart kid. Apparently graduated from Dartmouth last year and is now in grad school at Ross. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a solid chess player.
I don't see any news of him joining the team as a player or GA, but given his ties to the program (i.e., Jehu is his older brother) and his football background (played at Dartmouth), makes sense that he would be close to the team.
I’m here for the Fried Liver opening.
I'm curious if we'll see any solid opening theory or just guys randomly shoving their H pawns up the board (which apparently is somewhat in vogue atm).
Fried Liver Gambit declined. Sorry.
In case this eventually leads to a new analyst position on staff, I'm interested.
Not to be outdone, MSU is hosting it's own tournament now as well.
