that the AD buys Fingerle but I think that ship has sailed and the south athletic campus is the alternative to that. Now the plant operations/bus fleet/ UM puplic safety  property on Kipke might be more viable for athletic administration or training  facilties. The busses tried to move to North campus Pfizer property but I think the Green rd. neighbors shot that down. So...busses and UM cops to the Fingerle parcel? Disclaimer...I'm at Fingerle at least once a week for my construction purposes and my father in-law worked there for over 30 yrs.--please UM leave that business be!

"The system will not only serve as an important recruitment tool for the University, but should provide a new source of revenue as well. The ability to change from a banked track for training and international meets to a flat track for collegiate competitions will allow the University to host high-profile, championship-level meets as well as other multipurpose events."

I think this would be actually really cool to see not only in operation, but to draw all sorts of competitions to Ann Arbor. I am well beyond my track days, but I'd love to give the banked track a go admittedly.

better times with sloped turns....this makes perfect sense!  But isn't it now apples and oranges when comparing times to flat tracks?  What am I missing?   Update:  I see now,  International vs NCAA meets...cool.

So the article mentions that this track allows Michigan to host B1G, NCAA, and international events. Is that to say that this is required to host all of those events? Or that it would allow Michigan to host international in addition to B1G and NCAA
