I heard that Ecky Pting was available and interested in reviving the feature.

Ha! That's a good one...

I was thinking you meant "Whither One Frame at a Time," but "wither" works too. Cool.

consistent problem on this site, best exampled by our founder, whose most famous one (IMHO) was "wither pipkins?"
As if.

Funny how when we run one of our writers out of town we suddenly stop getting the stuff he wrote...

Yeah... it was kind of Ace's feature.
I'm sure someone could re-create for a Diary with all of the clips Seth pulled for the UFR's, but those clips obviously don't have the same exact intent as the OF@AT posts.

One Frame at a Time has a bucket problem.

It kicked the bucket?

"We run one of our writers out of town" you say? Did you not see his tweet?

I checked out for all of last year, what happened?

I don’t think you’re remembering correctly. Ace ran himself out of town.

Too easily triggered. He ran off to his safe space. Too bad because One Frame at a Time was fun, and his basketball analysis is excellent.

I wasn't on the site much over the last year, can someone fill me in on what happened? I enjoyed Ace's work.

There was some drama about him banning some long-time regulars here, but I think what did it is that he vehemently disagreed with some of Brian's takes on the Dr. Anderson situation.

The short version: He resigned.

The long version...is probably worth a diary which will not be written by me. There are a couple of places this was discussed here, also here (kind of), and elsewhere.
I for one enjoy the free content, so I'll keep coming back as long as the writing keeps being this interesting. This blog has changed much in the years that I've followed it, and will continue to do so.

Ace left the blog for any number of purported reasons but I'm fairly certain only the people who run this place + Ace really know why. It's probably the most banal - he wanted to start something new where he would have more control over the messaging and presentation of his ideas and the site in general. It's pretty clear that the pandemic was also quite tough on a number of the MGoBlog principals, which again makes sense, and so some changes are to be expected. I've been around here long enough to see a lot of people come and go, and it will continue in the future.

Stumbled across the first annual Jim harbaugh gif tournament from 2015. Good times

Answers to existential questions like this are always hiding out there in murk that is the space-time continuum. If you seek hard enough and long enough you will find them. Like some great philosophy majors once said, the answer my friend is blowin' in the wind. So take off your hat and dive after them.

It whithered and died, wether we wanted it to or not, as it did not wheather the staff transitions well.
