Meta: Site upgrade coming soon?

Submitted by Magnus on

I noticed this morning that the voting function is completely kaput, and MGoPoints have disappeared. I also noticed that Brian has not posted anything since Wednesday. To go along with the post a few weeks ago that the current version of Drupal would no longer be updated, are we to assume that a site upgrade is coming soon? When the functions stop working and Brian disappears for a few days, I have to think that something important is happening. (Or maybe Brian just has the flu.)

I'm not demanding a site upgrade. Free content is free content. I'm just wondering if there's some impending news.

FWIW, the MGoBoard says I can no longer post content. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So it looks like this may have been one of the last few threads on this version of the site...unless some technical fixes are made.

I'll try to keep fresh content on the board. If anyone has something they really want to post leave it as a reply and I'll make it for you in your name.

Either LSA or I will post an open thread in a couple hours to provide another outlet for people to comment and/or DISCUSS.

Surely, it MUST lead to anarchy!

  • No more members sent to "Bolivian"
  • Political and religious posts up the ying-yang
  • A thousand years of darkness
  • The dead rising from the grave
  • Rivers and seas boiling
  • Dogs and cats living together
  • Section 1 returns

Well at least im out of Bolivia now. Not that it matters, I just continue on reading and posting comments and couldn't care less about points. Most people get a new user name as soon as they get shipped to Bolivia. They give up and start all over, the "American Way" now.

All points related links now gone for me, and can't start new threads.  Lots of intermittant down time last few days too...  Hope everything's ok...

It's in the works but far away from a launch still. This may have been a side effect of trying to pull all the functionality.
