META: Can we get an update to the depth chart?

Submitted by Gentleman Squirrels on

I've always found the depth chart under the "Useful stuff" tab helpful for determining how many scholarships we have available and projecting 2 deeps for the future. Unfortunately, I don't think it has been updated since the board update. Can we get that updated to show our current scholarship breakdown?

I don't think many people get to watch the team that they loved growing up have the "BEST EVER" at any position be on that team and get to watch them every week.  Barry is the GOAT of RBs hands down, and it was an absolute pleasure to watch him for ten years!  Barry running for 200 against TB everytime they played will forever be a staple in my mind from my childhood.

I dunno about TheDirtyD's saying we can't edit it anymore (new site limitation?), but AFAIK the 2-deep isn't predictive; it's reactive.  It goes through the biggest changes not during fall camp, but after the first game.  Kind of fascinating that it's used to track scholarships but that's not the intent.

Anyway, right now most of the offense is in flux, and Ft. Schembechler has been known to game the crud out of position battles.  Remember when we spent a whole offseason fretting about NT depth, and then Don Brown rolled out a 3-3-5?  It's kind of a waste of time to update it today when half the 2-deep is speculative.  It's not that it'll have to be re-written -- that happens -- it's that today's guesses could be flat-out wrong.

Depth chart by class says 87, but it has Wheatley, McDoom, Crawford, and Walker, so I guess it's 83 now?

Are we giving a couple walk-ons scholarships? I'd support giving Glasgow one. That family deserves it even if he doesn't touch the field this year.
