Men's lacrosse beat Penn State today, 14-12 for their first win of the season. Attackman Bryce Clay had 5 goals and Josh Zawada added 4 of his own as the defense let up its fewest goals of the season. Nick Rowlett won 17 faceoffs for 61% and John Kiracofe added 17 saves in goal.

This is a big win for Michigan who was coming off a well-played game against Ohio State last week in which they refused to go away. Penn State is in something of a rebuilding mode but this is a big W for Michigan nonetheless. If they can clean up the mistakes and tighten up the defense they should be able to win a few games in the second half of the B1G season.  It's a weird year, so Michigan just needs to keep playing hard.  GO BLUE!!

Great win!  I caught parts of the game.  A really good step for this team.  We came close last week and now got over the hump.  Getting a couple more wins this season could be really good.

In other news I’ll be coaching a high school team this spring.  Really excited to get back into it.
