Men's BBall Managers need money and you can help
It seems that the school is being cheap again and the basketball managers need our help to pay for their trip to win a national championship/

Cheap motherfuckers
Yeah I'm talking about our beloved University.
Fucking disgusting
This would be pocket change to Juwan.
Quite honestly Juwan should just pay for this himself.
How likely is there to be some arcane NCAA rule against it?
my first thought is theres likely some crazy rule against it - if not, howard should be all over that.
our football students worked hard but hoops managers seemed to be in the building at all hours helping staff, rebounding shooters, etc plus they worked up sweat during practice
There probably is some rule against it. But like every other rule the NCAA has, tell it to fuck off and do the thing anyway. And when the NCAA tries to make an example of him, Juwan should publicly tell them to fuck off.
Do something for the people that work for you, Juwan!
Clayton Safie (or someone claiming to be him) dug deep for a donation of five bucks.

Why bag on someone for making a contribution?

Clayton is a journalist for The Wolverine. Although I agree with you about not knocking those who donate no matter how little, I think Snarling was just surprised that someone notable, if that was really him, would donate such a small amount (and not be anonymous about it).
Don't let my interjection stop the negging lemmings.
I doubt being a journalist for The Wolverine pays a lot, so good on him for contributing even a small amount to a cause he supports.
I'm just providing some context that changes the tone of the comment, at least from my perspective. You are certainly free to make your own conclusions.
They do a gross amount of free work. My cousin was one. Yes you can earn a scholarship but it screws with your school work and requires 4 years to sniff a scholarship. He'd have to stay late do film work, let recruits in for tours late hours, random off hour stuff on top of practice dummies. Mine had to quit the last season to focus on school due to getting dragged out so often. Don't get me started on some spoiled bratty players who I won't name from the past who treats them like less humans.
It sounds like hard work, but they do volunteer knowing what the demands are.
I wish I could have volunteered when I was in college instead of working a crappy job to help pay for it.
It did require a interview, resume. Helps if you have a basketball background a lot. My cousin spent a lot of time with Jordan Morgan his last 2 seasons on his down low game. Without those managers having a background to make them work hard the team would suffer imo.
And honestly. They're probably to afraid to ask Juwan or the school. Not even joking.

Isn't Dickinson making six figures in NIL money?
He can't just help them?
The players probably do throw them a bone sometimes. There's really nice teammates and some entitled usually. I'll call out Tim Hardaway Jr, he was "entitled" early on but he matured and when he left the team he thanked my cousin a lot for helping him over the years. I imagine now that money is involved they might throw a bone to them to thank them. Well hopefully they do.

Warde should just arrange for their travel - and, toss in some burgers “to go” from the Brown Jug.
