Mccaffrey Was Cleared to Play vs Illinois

Harbaugh confirms that Dylan McCaffrey was cleared to play and available at Illinois.

Says he won't comment on the status of Nico Collins, Lavert Hill and Kwity Paye, then later says if he were to comment, it would be "positive."

Lookalikes aside. I think this season has direct correlations to Henson and Brady. Shea, the highly touted five star transfer or the guy a significant portion of the fan base and probably the team feels give us a better chance to win. If we get off to a slow start I have confidence Harbaugh makes the change.

I'm tired of the mystery he always wants to create at press conferences. So many other coaches just come out and say the condition of player. They just say it.

we didn't need McCaffrey or Collins, why take that risk.

Basically we treated this like a bye week except with another team to play.

And thanks Kass for taking a stand, against some of the more unnecessarily descriptive language.

In the stadium, he was very clearly the number 2 in warmups and between series. Unfortunately the 3rd quarter happened and derailed any chance of meaningful snaps.

This was probably the consequence of letting up after 28-0. Dylan could have played a few series in the last 3rd/early 4th if this was 35-7.

He is not ready as a passer from what I've seen thus far this year but a change of pace is always good in close games, Gives the D more to prep for.

There's really no reason imo that McCaffrey shouldn't have started at half time. Shea had a good first half and we had a nice lead. McCaffrey should've gotten the 3rd quarter and Milton should've gotten the 4th, but instead Shea pulled a Shea and let us almost choke the game away

Is anyone surprised he was cleared? He was on the travel roster. Why would Michigan waste a travel roster spot and dress him if he wasn't cleared to play?

He's a Junior.  If he's not ready to play now he never will be.   Fact is, when he came in against Wisconsin we moved the ball for the first time in that game.

He's dangerous because he actually reads on RPO and then takes what the defense is giving.

Shea rarely does that.  He just robotically gives and once Illinois figured that out they were able to effectively shut down our run game.

If Shea starts against any top 25 team we will get out ass beat. End of story.

Shea is partly to blame, along with the incompetent quarterback coaching system at Michigan.
