MBB: Miles Bridges is no longer planning on visiting Michigan

Submitted by Erik_in_Dayton on

Sam Webb reported this on WTKA this morning.  Sam initially said Bridges, the five-star forward from Flint who goes to a prep school in West Virginia, would visit Michigan despite Cassius Winston no longer being an option for the Wolverines (Bridges and Winston are AAU teammates).  But Sam then issued a correction to that, saying he'd just received word that the visit was off.

Sam also said he considers Bridges a "near lock" to commit to Kentucky, so this may not mean much.

The first Andy Mignery segment has Sam's correction:

My dong had just returned to an upright position (wait ...downright position) due to the Xavier S committment so the timing is perfect for this roundhouse swing.

Anyhow if UK was involved even 1% it wasn't going to happen.

about this? There was never any chance he was coming. We dont need a post about Winston commiting on Friday either as we dropped him and he is now an MSU lock.

I am sick of getting excited about these 5 stars coming to Michigan. Even the ones who are from Michigan dont want to come here it seems. What gives? Also I dont know about any other people but would rather have him play for Kentucky then MSU. Hope Winston goes to Pitt. Just cant stand all those Sparty bum saying how Izzo is so much better then JB. Would like to get one top 10 player in the nation to commit here in the next year or so.

UK's boosters get them any player they really want.  I never expect a five-star with UK in his top five to choose Michigan.  I don't even get that worked up over it anymore.

What does concern me, though, is Tom Izzo saying in an offseason interview that he is going to "do what it takes" to, IIRC, "recruit in today's game."  Soon thereafter, they signed a five-star out of Alabama.  I hope this is just coincidence.

Bridges named his Final 3 as Kentucky, MSU, and Indiana today, he's announcing Octboer 3rd.

Hope he's a UK lock, because I couldn't stand to see him go to MSU.

Adjust those pants. Make sure they are perfect.

Yes, recruits still aren't calling you back.

Sure, Austin Rivers is still calling you a joke despite the fact that he now plays for his dad.

No, Gary Harris still does not care about you or your probationary status.

Pull yourself up by your belt-loops and sleepwalk through another season my friend. It will all be over soon.
