It's difficult to switch sports this late as there is a lack of development time. Adam Coon (UM heavyweight 8 years ago) tried the XFL for OL and the Titans even signed him a couple years ago, but I believe he's back trying to make the next Olympic Team.

Parris will try to make the Olympics and Worlds teams the next few years. There's no money in that. But he's on that level. He was the Junior freestyle world champion.

Olympic and worlds do freestyle and Greco Roman, not folkstyle like in college. It's possible Parris is even better at freestyle as the stylistic differences favor some athletes. Myles Amine was a great folkstyle wrestler, but he's arguably better at freestyle. Joe Warren as an all American at Michigan in 03 but later a Greco Roman world champion. Coon is great at Greco Roman. Parris is more of a shooter/counters than upper body throws. He's around 265, not 285, and very fast and agile for his size.

If he wants the possibility of future money, he could try to sign a futures contract with WWE like Gabe Steveson did. But Gabe won a gold medal making him immediately marketable as a badass. Parris would need a World or Olympic medal to have a quick rise to the top and not be just a guy trying to make it.

He's also completed an engineering degree. He has options for when wrestling ends.
