That's one more vote than David Brandon got...

My first move as acting Governor of Michigan would be to publicly tell Dantonio to stop drinking and go to bed.

'i have decided to defund that agricultural school they call michigan state. effective immediately those tax dollars will go to actual education as opposed to the arsonist college located on the red cedar river. i have also today enacted legislation that anyone wearing green and white or a large 'S' on their clothing can be committed to the closest psychological hospital available for retraining. anyone caught with a spartan or promoting 'sparty' or any such nonsense will be imprisoned.'
further, michigan grads will be able to drive drunk as long as they don't hurt anyone. okay, i was kidding about that last one. i just wanted to see if you media types were paying attention. you can expect more bold legislation in the future. but first, i'm going to watch tape and plan for my alma mater's reascension to the elite levels of the college football world'

Todd Gurley for Secretary Of State in Georgia strikes me as an interesting choice. I can see it, although I don't know how the NCAA feels about an athlete who is then getting paid to have his signature at the bottom of a fair amount of state paperwork. Maybe it is easier for Gurley to just get notary public training right now.

We need to find this man right now and give him a medal

....that's Bill Brasky!
Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can't find one. Finally, Brasky takes me into a vacant lot and says, 'Here we are.' Well, we sat there for a year and a half. Sure enough, someone constructed a bar around us. Well, the day they opened it, we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burnt the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, 'Always leave things the way you found them!'

Indeed. How much you want to bet this guy also spends an inordinate amount of time complaining about the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of government?

and maybe didn't like anyone running for Governor? I always vote for the "green" party for MSU regent, and that is pretty much throwing my vote away. But on Tuesday, I actually was on a committee for a school millage, so I was extremely interested in voting for that.
Also, I hate MSU. I may or may not need therapy for it.

voted green...
Fuck the democrats and the republicans...

I used to vote Socialist Workers Party when I didn't like the folks running R and D. I always got a chuckle out of that, but they're not on the ballot any more.
Hey, folks will leave home, drive, park, and walk to a stadium to see a football game they can see at home for entertainment. Voting SWP was a lot like that.

Let's be real -- we don't want this. Can he coach our team and be governor?
November 6th, 2014 at 9:34 AM ^
It was an MSU fan trying to avoid Michigan hiring him.

Comment below the story:
To be fair, Todd Gurley should have been on the ballot in Georgia. He certainly got enough signatures.

I was tempted to vote Dantonio for Governor. If he won, he'd have to take and wouldn't be Michigan State coach anymore.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We want Jimmy as HC, he can't don't both jobs - or can he!?!?

If Harbaugh comes here, there will be a whole lot of Hallelujah.
November 6th, 2014 at 1:07 PM ^
Can he coach and run the state at the same time?
November 6th, 2014 at 3:38 PM ^
for the write in position of Michigan Football Head Coach, and Jim won with a total of one votes, does that make it so?
