M hoops in DC Saturday - lots of tickets available

This Saturday Michigan will be in DC for the Coaches vs Racism game against Prairie View A&M.

It's been quite poorly promoted - but the upside is that there are a ton of seats available.  Should be a great chance for those of us in DC to see the team up close - the game is at the Washington Mystics' arena, a very cozy arena where there are no bad seats.

Also, since there is no game at Maryland this year, this is our only chance to see Michigan basketball in DC.

Between basketball this weekend and football at Maryland on 11/20, we have two de-facto home games.

Hhhmmmm......

I'm supposed to visit my wife's uncle at the assisted living facility on Saturday here in NY. I'm now wondering which ring of Hell I'll be assigned if I cancel Ralph for Juwan.

I waited to buy tix when they were wildly expensive (cheapest were $65 + tax and fees in upper corner).

Prices were cut dramatically from $225+ for lower mid court to $60 for lower mid court.

Scored tix in the 4th row at mid court behind the benches for less than the worst seats would’ve cost me last month.

The team doesn’t play at Maryland this year, so if you’re a fan in DC, your next closest opportunity is figuring out a way to get to Rutgers or Penn State (which costs money).

I wasn’t willing to pay over $65 and was just hoping prices would come down.

I waited around as well due to the high prices and to see when the football game would be that day.  I was pleased to see that the ticket prices were reduced to be much more reasonable.

I chose a 5th row seat at midcourt on the opposite side to hope for an unblocked view.  Perhaps I should have tried to sit behind the bench / scorer's table.  Regardless, these will be my best seats since my last two years of grad school, when they assigned season ticket seats based on how many years you had purchased tickets.  (That was much more favorable for grad students than football, which was based on credit hours.)

I am happy you get to see the team in person.

to me pointless fluff games against nothing teams aren't remotely interesting.
