Who's there? I had to go to Chicago for the weekend, unfortunately, so first hand accounts would be much appreciated.

First set of off/def drills. Wilson first qb working w the group. All running plays. Other qb and wr working on other side of field doing passing drills

I think Speight is on the first team. Okorn has looked inaccurate most of the day from what I have seen in throwing drills. Edit. He's leading the team on a drive now and looking really good when improvising. He hit Gentry on a great rollout in traffic.

It's early, veerrrrry early so we will see. Speight is maybe Grbac slow but he's got the calmness, ice water in the veins which is the single most important thing for a QB to have. O'Korn has a lot of time to get his accuracy down, after that I would expect it's Malzone. Peters red shirts,.

Ahmir looks awesome. Did have a couple drops! Wheatly is huge! Speight with the ones. They are practicing alot of thud, hard to judge much without full hitting. Still really cool to see the team in the spring. I'm checking out the pistons game for the first time this year after.

My god! O'Korn with a beautiful 50 yard bomb to Perry on the money for a TD in full team scrimage. I would be shocked if he is not the starter. Only QB who has hit the deep ball. O'Korn nailed darboh on a fade earlier with Lewis in coverage.

Jack Harbaugh came up into the crowd after the game and talked with me for a couple minutes and took a picture. Really great guy from a great family.

O'korn isn't as sharp as I had hoped, would rank QBs Speight, Morris then O'korn, and none of them were particularly great.

Kareem Walker doesn't look good at all

Wheatley Jr. could be GREAT.

Carlo Kemp looks huge, and Devin Bush, Jr seems tiny

OL is no shock, Mags-Braden-Cole-Kali's-Newsome

Glasgow did a little (no pads or contact) then ran stairs

Chess on had a brace on right leg, ran a little and ride bike.

D seemed really aggressive, sending extra guys most plays.

Got to see Jack Harbaugh, and Rashan Gary is supposed to be here, but haven't seen him yet.

Also, Gentry may actually be a good TE

I would still put O'Korn above Morris, despite the pick-six O'Korn threw. Morris misses some wide-open guys. I was trying to keep an eye on the coverage, and I thought the defense was very stingy when O'Korn dropped back to pass. Maybe it's because they know he's a real threat to pass the ball, or maybe it's coincidence. But O'Korn was also working with the #1s, while Morris was getting fewer snaps and working with more backups.

I looked for Gary, too, but didn't see him. I think he may have gone home. I think he was on break last week, so maybe he headed back to NJ to get ready for school on Monday.

Walker looked fine. He was running behind the #2 offensive line, which has some weak spots, against guys who are flat-out better on defense. It's tough to run inside when Ben Pliska is your left guard.

I was trying to make an effort to specifically watch his blocking, since that's likely the aspect he would have the most to learn. My hot take:

Willing blocker. Found his man, squared up, didn't shy away, and kept his feet moving. His pad level wasn't even that bad for a guy 6'8". Judging from who got reps when, it almost looked like he was even with skillet hands on the depth chart.

Eat some steak and drink some milk, might have quite the TE.

He needs to work on targeting and breaking down. He's willing, yes, but his strides were too long and he got off balance. He also needs to get stronger, like you said. I think he looks a little like Winovich did last year, and Winovich didn't play at all. So we'll see.

A little off topic but I feel that MGOBLOG.COM should be doing more over analysis on pre-season rumblings and less hockey...

Nor even women's softball, it is what it is during the farrrr off season. One or two football nuggets a day and I'm a bit satisfied , I still have to go to feep, detnews, and mlive to read any daily stories but between the four I get my fix.

have you ever took a look at the website banner bro? Harbaugh, BO, football helmets..I just feel like we should be over analyzing ever aspect of the off-season like evey other big time fanbase. Like if Harbaugh passes a kidney stone...we should know.
