They don't have to be playing great football for me to cheer for them. Have you been under a rock the last decade? I started keeping tabs on them when I moved down here. I'll watch the game if they aren't playing when Michigan is on. It's just a casual thing. If they win cool if they lose It stinks but I won't lose any sleep. .

I wish LTT the best. A lot of people (including writers on this site) owe him an apology. His situation reminded me of a lower level Duke lacrosse case. The public crucified and found him guilty before letting the real story come out. A completely wasted girl comes up with a story, that ends up being at worse him taking a video of them having consensual sex. Should have never been kicked off the team, was never convicted of any crime. Good luck LTT, hope they treat you better at Texas Tech.

It automatically sync'ed to her computer from her phone.  Any reasonable person that delves into the details of this incident would agree it represents the worst kind of judging guilt before taking the most simple honest reflection, particullarly after the (in my opinion) fairly innocuous details came out. At a minimum everyone should have been biting their lip until trial.

I personally find his premature reputation assination shameful and a bit scary.  I wish LTT all the best.  I don't claim to know the whole story but have read enough to say the Ann Arbor community blew this one.  Big time.

The thing is, if it was really malicious and creepy, why was he using HER phone?  Deception and repetitive bad decisions are in play for sure, but felony charges?

If he had secretly taped it, I would not be defending him.  If he had shared it, I would not be defending him.  But, reportedly, he did neither.  I see it as a personal matter that has been blown way out of proportion.  I also am 100% with you that time will tell.

I dont't care about the down votes, it's good to know at least a few people took the time to look into the actual details of this case and realize the scruntiny he received was completely absurd. I will be shocked if the charges aren't dropped (as they should be).

It's cost him his reputation and suspended his playing career. The community and due process failed him, as they have so many others who get convicted by the media.

Count me in that group.

I've thought from the start that LTT was treated unfairly. Nobody on the outside knows what happened, LTT and the girl might not even know what happened.

Given the way that college campuses these days skew toward immediate, unfounded and merciless bias in favor of the accuser, the fact that LTT hasn't suffered anything worse than what he has makes me think he's 100% innocent.

This is Duke lacrosse writ small. I hope LTT goes on to the NFL, makes a gazillion dollars, and has a happy, happy life.

Unless he knows something damning - which is certainly possible, although I would judge the possibility as less than likely - yeah, he made the wrong decision.

The decision might win some games because booting LTT saves tons of headaches and allows JH to focus more on football. Maybe the writing was even on the wall for LTT in terms of playing time, and this was just a convenient excuse. So in that sense it might be the right decision. And normally I'm all in favor of the 'win at almost all costs' approach. But this is one of those costs I wouldn't pay; this is an altar I'd die on.

... imagine it was you and it was being passed around without your knowledge or consent?  Even if it is not actively being passed around, just knowing there is someone who has this content of you who could at any moment publish it is just horrible to think about. That's a heinous crime in my book unbecoming of people I want representing the school I went to.

Again, this assumes the story hasn't changed.

Imagine it wasn't passed around though, imagine it was actually deleted, yet still you were sent into a shitstorm of judgment before you got the benefit of a trial by your peers.  How would that feel?

I would happy to be corrected, but nowhere did I read anything to suggest LTT kept the video for long or shared it.

She saw the video synced with her computer but wasn't on the phone anymore. She couldn't remember what happened so she talked to the police. Police asked LTT about it and he incriminated himself (even though he also couldn't remember doing it). It's hardly the heinous crime everyone automatically assumed it was,but that didn't exactly get in the way of a good ol' witch hunt.

OK.  I didn't pay all that much attention to this story when it broke.  I will give him some credit for accepting responsibility and for going on to continue his studies.

Still, though, if we're taking about a woman going to the police saying she'd been filmed in a sexual encounter while drunk - when by definition, she couldn't consent  . . . your tone seems a bit cavalier.

Yeah, and it's probably impossible to get down to the bottom of that.

But there is also the question of what happened the next day.  Did he actually delete the videos immediately?   What compelled her to go to the police?  Did she confront him on the issue at some point?

I'm not saying this to pile on the guy.  I don't really know what happened.  It seems like some of you are proclaiming his innocence when I'm not certain we can go that far, either.

They got incredibly wasted and had sex. (There is no claim that the sex wasn't consensual). While she was unconscious he took a picture of her (using her phone) and transferred it to himself. He then attempted to delete the evidence from her phone. She discovered her phone had been used by someone and went to the police. I don't remember with certainty whether she discovered exactly what he did before she went to the police but I think that is the case. In an interview with the police he admitted taking the picture and transferring it to himself. It's pretty open and shut unless the cops really screwed up and did something that will get his statement excluded from evidence.

The woman provided this account to Ann Arbor police:

■ She said she was intoxicated after drinking with friends at her Ann Arbor apartment. She said she started drinking at 3 p.m. The woman said she had three shots of Crown Royal whiskey, two shots of Jack Daniel’s whiskey and one mixed drink of Crown Royal and juice before Tuley-Tillman arrived at 11:35 p.m. They had texted each other around 3:40 p.m. and agreed to meet later at her place. She said that when he arrived, she could tell that he also was drunk. The woman described her relationship with Tuley-Tillman as “more than an acquaintance” but more to the level of a friend with verbal flirting. She said they never had intercourse before that night.

■ She said that they had sex that night but she would not have done so if she were sober. When asked directly by police whether she felt she was raped, she indicated that the sex act was consensual. They spent the night together, and she said she became aware of their sexual encounter in the morning, when she no longer was intoxicated. She said she remembered only parts of the encounter.

■ When she began going through her phone at a later time, she discovered two videos had been texted from her phone to Tuley-Tillman’s phone. Her phone did not have the videos on it any longer, but the phone automatically synced to her laptop, and she found the videos there. The police report stated “she hadn’t consented to Logan filming her.” The report described the videos this way: “There was a three-second video that had nothing but muffled sounds. The second video was 15 seconds, and it clearly showed the suspect having sex with her.”

■ When they spoke later, the woman said, Tuley-Tillman told her that he had been intoxicated, having consumed a “large amount of Hennessy,” and was pretty “high.”
