Probably, but one of the complaints that you would hear from linemen on Detroit was that Sanders didn't always follow his blocks and was prone to changing direction quite a bit. And he had some good lines in Detroit; Lomas Brown was a fantastic Tackle, for example. It's what made him great, but it probably made him a bit offensive line agnostic. hell, he nearly broke the record and didn't basically because he just stopped playing.

I have to imagine this graphic summarizes why NFL discussion on here is both weak and pedantic. The vast majority of posters here have never known what it feels like to be part of a proud NFL franchise. Most - frankly - only have the Lions.
I grew up with the NFL. As an out of state student, I knew nothing about Michigan until I was 18. By that time, I had memorized the stats of Montana, Rice, Craig, Lott, Sanders, etc.
UofM was obviously an institution for me. I learned about in my mind the great coaches: Yost, Crisler, and Bo. And I love college football now, no matter how untalented and overmatched 90% of the game are! But I honestly feel bad for all those fans on this blog who hold the Lions as their NFL team. It's much, much better elsewhere!

Nah, it's that most people talking about sports anywhere are pretty weak and pedantic. It's not like you can have great conversations with most Patriots fans pre-Brady. The Lions are a terrible franchise, but it's not like Detroit fans didn't follow other teams along the way.

The skill level may be higher but there is just not the same passion for the game as there is for college football and to a certain level the NFL games just all feel the same.

I think a big reason why NFL discussion isn't at a high level here is most of us just don't care about it as much as we care about college football. I know for me I have time on the weekends to watch one game for sure and hope for a few other games on Saturdays. That has typically meant no NFL, so I really have no idea what goes on in the league.

Same Ol Fin Lions.  I turned in my fan card long ago, but seeing this BS coaching gets me going a bit.

They were down 30-6 late in the 4th Q and they punted and then kicked a FG on 4th downs in successive drives.

Why?  Why not let the offense and Jake run 2 more actual plays.  The Lions staff BS's about developing Jake, when in reality they do not give two shits.  Any strong coaching staff would not blow 2 potential plays that a young QB should have had.

Coaching imbeciles.

And for the record, Caldwell is a terrible coach. One of the 2 or 3 worst in the league. He's never won anywhere without Manning, and seems to lack any spark of innovation.

that can happen to Jake Rudock is to get cut by the Lions so another team can pick him up.

I use to be a Lions fans years ago.  They were killing me, so like Barry Sanders, I retired from them.   I feel better too.

A lot. Think he's a fantastic story. But it's not like some team is going to make him rise from the ashes as a backup, and the Lions would ruin him as a backup.

He is who he is. He'll get a lot of time watching the action and learning the game, and may occasionally get some mop up duty. But don't compare him to Barry in terms of ruining a career. He's not going to be playing a lot.
