Let's Make Some Predictions for our Game vs. UCLA

Mates,
A surprising UCLA team has knocked off MSU 10 days ago (we like that!) and fought it's way into the Elite 8.  That said, it's time to end their upset bids.   

Let's make some predictions.

Point spread? 

Who covers whom? 

Take on the game?

Number of references to 'Bob Marley' for their #10, the hairdressers' dream. 

Playing with house money at this point but sure feels like we should get to the Final Four

i won't say 'all' of us, but i'd say the vast majority of us had a legitimate worry that without our senior captain and star on the floor that this team would suffer.  we hoped that b. johns would play well but of course he hadn't up to that point - he has done great.  we hoped we would get offensive production from others - we have done that, too.  but to say we should've not tempered our enthusiasm for our chances in the NCAA's after we'd lost 3 of 5 and then our captain is a bit of history revision.  

of course we're all stoked about how we've been doing and like our chances vs. UCLA, but reflect back on a thread of a couple of weeks ago that asked what would be a 'win/satisfactory' finish in the NCAA's and most folks had the 'sweet 16' would be that point.

I think I said I’d expect elite 8 and everything on top would be gravy.

I actually made this comment so I could go back to 3/17 to see what I said:

“ I think the intensity/expectations are also significantly lowered with Livers out and losing three games in the last week or so.  That said,  I'll be bummed if we don't at least make it to the elite 8 (Great 8?).”

My expectations have been revised and I think we should make the final four.  Brooks, Brown and now Johns have had big (breakout?) games.

I predict RCMB will be full of threads saying the Bruins will destroy Michigan since Team Izzo is soooooo much better than us. 

Then something something about how UCLA should have been a higher seed and they (Sparty) would still be playing if the Bruins were properly placed in the West.

I can see a similar game to the OSU game during the regular season. High scoring, back and forth, fast paced type of game. Basically the opposite of the FSU game.

On the off chance that Michigan loses, I see Staee claiming that they tied with Michigan, because they both lost to the same team.  Outside of that, my prediction is PAIN.

I was soooooo wrong about the Pac 12 this year, so my prediction is worthless. 

That said, if Michigan plays like they did today, they beat just about anybody.
