All things considered, I'd rather lose the way we did than they did.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:12 AM ^
That was brutal. I have to admit that my heart sank for my OSU friends.
January 1st, 2023 at 1:05 AM ^
A million OSU losses like that one would not be enough to make me feel sorry for those fucks
January 1st, 2023 at 12:16 AM ^
Nope. They made it close and had a legit chance to win. We screwed the pooch.
January 1st, 2023 at 1:24 AM ^
Down 6 with 52 seconds and the ball is a chance to win, especially after being down as much as 19.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:36 AM ^
Agreed Puti.
We were playing "catch-up" all game long. They had a two score lead and blew it.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:42 AM ^
And in the bigger picture, we've got a Big Ten title and domination in the Game to fall back on. They've got nothing.
January 1st, 2023 at 2:53 PM ^
They got yards. Lots and lots of yards.
But yards are the MGoPoints of football. They look good, but you can't turn them in for anything.
January 1st, 2023 at 1:21 AM ^
Can you imagine that kick if we had won earlier?
I don't know what I'd be pulling for. Kick goes in an we play a team we know with 100% certainty that we can beat. But it would be arguably the biggest game in the history of college football -- the #1 rivalry, in a Championship Game. On the other hand, there's Georgia. Who knows how we size up against them, but it didn't look great last year. Even with all the guys they lost, they look like quite the machine still.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:10 AM ^
That kick actually was quite embarrassing.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:12 AM ^
It was - that kick was awful! Moody's 59 yarder was right down the middle, and had leg for another 5-7 yards...
January 1st, 2023 at 12:15 AM ^
Funny thing is, Moody's first try did the same thing ... but TCU had just called time out, so it didn't count. He re-calibrated and nailed it. The OSU kicker didn't have that opportunity.
January 1st, 2023 at 1:32 AM ^
That's why the OSU kicker went to OSU and Moody went to Michigan.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:12 AM ^
Yeah, he literally looked like a shitkicker on that FG. Sucks to go out that way.

Jim Carey: ‘you hate to see it’
January 1st, 2023 at 12:10 AM ^
Alabama and Clemson weren’t in the playoffs, there was no 2019 LSU team that came out of nowhere to light everything on fire, and Georgia looks so fucking beatable. Michigan will probably never have a better opportunity to win the national title than this year and they fucking blew it. All they had to do was beat a team that doesn’t even fucking belong and they collapsed instead. It’s going to be harder when the playoffs expand and teams like Alabama don’t get eliminated by 2 flukey losses.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:13 AM ^
there's always next year
January 1st, 2023 at 12:13 AM ^
They beat Michigan so they definitely belonged so there’s that.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:21 AM ^
They lost to a team that lost 45-20 to Alabama. They needed miraculous comebacks to beat straight-up bad teams on multiple occasions. They only won today because Michigan decided to repeatedly do stupid shit inside the 5 yard line and Minter kept calling blitzes that resulted in huge plays for TCU.
January 1st, 2023 at 8:29 AM ^
Fuck Minter. Seriously. For all the good he did in 2022 this horrendous game by the D used all of his Michigan lives!
January 1st, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
They beat us. They are a very good team.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:18 AM ^
Where does this mentality come from? How did TCU not belong there? They were 12-1...that reeks of a similar mentality the team had.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:24 AM ^
There’s no way you can claim TCU was one of the best 4 teams in the country. Michigan lucked out that they kept lucking out on wins so that the committee had to rank them above better teams. Alabama would have killed TCU like they killed Kansas State. The football gods put the natty on a silver platter and Harbaugh decided to have a freshman tight end play quarterback and a linebacker play fullback.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:51 AM ^
The playoff is not for the most talented teams it's for the best teams i.e. what they've done on the field, and OSU and TCU did more than Alabama on the field.
Also TCUs RB had 1300 yds this year... and Duggan isnt too shabby either.
January 1st, 2023 at 2:12 AM ^
Yeah, this is some truly pathetic posting by Ham. Everything is based on hypotheticals... Alabama would have done this... we would have won it all... There never was a credible argument for putting Alabama in the playoffs, their best regular season win was against an average Texas team that finished 8-5. And they lost 2 games. On the other hand, if you go 12-0 in a major conference, you're very likely one of the best 4 teams and you certainly belong in the playoff.
January 1st, 2023 at 8:30 AM ^
Bama destroys TCU. Prove me wrong.
January 1st, 2023 at 9:14 AM ^
You're right. We should wait for the 2023 pre-season polls to come out, then cancel the season and immediately start the playoffs with the top 4 ranked teams.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:11 AM ^
Doesn't make our loss any better, but makes me feel better that Ohio State doesn't get a pass to another national championship.
Time to raise this program's goals and stop shitting their pants in bowl games/playoff games
January 1st, 2023 at 1:10 AM ^
Get a pass ? They got beat by what I THOUGHT was the second best team in the country but you guys proved to me you wasn’t the second best …

Noah Ruggles on that last kick

Intentional double post for 2021 AND 2022?
January 1st, 2023 at 12:12 AM ^
Nightmare scenario avoided. Would've had to have given up being a sports fan, if OSU had won a National Championship... thanks to Michigan's ineptitude.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:15 AM ^
Not really. Could have pulled a 'Bama and claimed a share by virtue of the transitive property and the illegitimacy of the playoff by inviting Ohio after them getting reamed at home.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:12 AM ^
I think TCU had a better chance against OSU than Georgia, so another SEC championship and Big Ten can’t win anything talk again.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:16 AM ^
Don’t care. OSU to lose everything for all time as far as I’m concerned
January 1st, 2023 at 12:13 AM ^
Go Blue. Beat Ohio.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:13 AM ^
Go TCU. Beat Gorgoa
January 1st, 2023 at 12:14 AM ^
I dunno how I feel about it, honestly. Always kinda want osu to lose but fuck GA and the SEC slob knobbers, too? Whatever. Shitty way to ring in the new year despite the great season
January 1st, 2023 at 12:15 AM ^
The correct answer is Go TCU

January 1st, 2023 at 12:15 AM ^
Sucks that we lost, but I did smile once I saw that ball hook to the left. Still smiling, actually...

Kirby thanks fans and thanks osu - that kicker is a true Santa for SEC fans
January 1st, 2023 at 12:17 AM ^
I feel bad for that kicker, though. He's going to get hate mail and death threats because people suck. Poor kid.
