Lavert Hill with (2) picks for the St. Louis Battlehawks yesterday
If you're not interested in watching the all 15 minutes of the highlights, you can go to 7:15 and 10:55.

Kareem Walker also plays for St Louis.
I didn't know that. I hadn't really followed any XFL,but just stumbled across it this afternoon. I'm not sure 4 carries for 15 yards was message board worthy
Let's make fun of him and say Keith Jackson or tell him put a link in his post
I was the OP... And will take the L here. But I *think* people thought I was complaining about my own initial post? Or perhaps that I was criticizing a former player with my 4 carries comment? Not sure... Poorly worded on my part. I really like keeping up with Michigan players after they graduate.
Maybe Lavert can work his way into a camp invite with someone this summer.
Maybe he will be able to get a camp invite somewhere, but in general it must be hard to decide when to give up the dream..

It's got to be his size...because I thought he would be on a roster. Not a starter, but a Jourdan Lewis type of career.
David Long just signed a big contract, wild because those two seemed so close in talent.
Michigan's David Long did not just sign a big contract. Theres another in the league who plays LB. Our David signed a 1 year with the Raiders which doesn't bode well for his NFL career

I knew that (2, David Longs)...just assumed David Long (YTDL) signed a big contact because he was a FA. Didn't really it was just for a year.

Maybe it's his size? But Long is only an inch taller than Hill, and for two players who played similarly well on the same team, it seems like an inch isn't enough of a difference to explain one player being drafted in the third round and the other going undrafted. I was wondering if it had something to do with combine numbers, but strangely both players only did the bench press (Hill actually beat Long there, 21 reps to 18), which is about the last test I'd think a CB would do if they were only doing one or a couple of them. The whole thing is just strange.
As an aside, I had completely forgotten that there were two David Longs drafted in 2019, our CB, and an LB out of WV. It makes it complicated because LB Long did all the combine tests, and put up some great numbers for a even CB (4.45 40, plus his 3-cone would have been the best at this year's combine (by over .1 second) and his shuttle second). And so of course websites left and right have LB Long's combine numbers listed for CB Long, and you really have to dig to find CB Long's actual combine page.
Having watched them on the field at M it’s really hard to think they are only an inch apart. Long seemed much bigger than Hill on the field.
The battle axes are my favorite team
KA-KAW!!!
You’re sure that’s the sound of a battlehawk?
It's the Battlehawks' war cry
