Lack of Unique Names in 2010

Submitted by sedieso on
I don't know if anyone else has noticed or not, but just by looking at the 2010 recruiting board I am getting very worried about the lack of offers to kids with unique names. I mean the most unique name on there, and I would go even further to say the only, is Lache Seastrunk. We have wayyyy too many Robinsons on our team for me to be comfortable about our chances next year. Honestly, one good name will go a long ways to assuring us a birth into the national championship game in the years to come. If we have to, we should just start recruiting kids from different parts of the world just too fill the void left by the 2010 recruiting class.

Maybe we should start recruiting kids that are willing to legally change their names to play for M. This would also help us identify the "true Michigan men".

Aramide Olaniyan Giorgio Bowers Cassius McDowell Seantrel Henderson Owamagbe Odighizuwa Zach Zwinak Frank Boenzi I don't know if they're as good as last year's, but there are some good ones.

are recruiting TWO guys with the last name Olaniyan that aren't related and don't even live in the same state. I find that to be remarkable.

I don't know much of anything about the name Olaniyan, but it could be the equivalent of Smith for all we know. But it is probably is remarkable.
