Kingston Davis reportedly transferring to Independence Community College
Per MLive, he's made his decision on a landing spot for next year...

to go from Michigan to a JUCO in Kansas. Hope he does well and eventually gets back to DI and has a very good career while earning a degree.
the Kansas route is a good way to go. The state of Kansas has the most robust and competitive set of JUCO programs in the counrty (especially in basketball). Garden City CC won the national football title in 2016.
Good Luck Ese
I'm assuming this allows him to play immediately this yeat - and transfer back to a D1 porgram next year without having to sit out?
Good move for him if he wants to play tailback. He goes to a JuCo, doesn't have to sit out a year and is at a place where he can showcase his talent to a wider range of schools as a tailback.
Best of luck to him.
Any chance he could come back if he realizes he's not cut out for Tailback? I'd imagine if he isn't able to start at a JUCO then he will realize that Fullback is best.
He will be starting in the NFL after following the proven path:
1. Burried in Michigan's depth chart
2. Transfer to obscure school for playing time
3. Get drafted in the mid to late rounds
4. Dominate in the NFL
5. Profit (?)
Outside of Rawls, who else has done this?
One instance is enough for me to think it's a viable trend, or "proven path," dammit!
HECK YES HE DID.
Did Stevie Brown transfer? I can't remember.
He finished at Michigan. Led the league in interceptions one year which I never expected
Transferred to USC. Is the son of Antonio Fargas, who played Huggy Bear on Starsky and Hutch.
Jon Richie
best of luck Kingston
He REALLY didn't want to play fullback...
Smart thinking by KD...doesn't have to sit for the year and can transfer and be eligible right away.
Independence CC and Coffeyville CC (20 minutes away) are pretty big Juco programs.
Wish he would've stayed but those are the breaks of 'Crootin good talent, not enough spots for everyone to get the PT they want. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
Good luck to him. Glad he found a new spot.
Hard to blame him. He had to be just buried on the depth chart behind Evans, Walker, Higdon and Isaac. He's now giving himself a year where he will probably be "the guy" at a CC program, and then can find a program needing a RB the following year.
Best of luck to him, wherever he ends up going forward.
Best of luck to him.
