Both received scholarships. Congratulations to both of them.

Allen, a 6-foot-3, 220-pounder from Fenton, won Michigan's placekicking job after fall camp. He was 1 of 2 on field goal attempts at Utah, hit both extra point tries and handled Michigan's kickoff duties. Liesman is a 6-foot-2, 233-pound senior linebacker from Lansing. He's yet to appear in a game on defense.

Liesman may not have appeared in a game, but that man is da truth in practice.

As for Kenny Allen, he is definitely an integral wrench in UM's special teams toolbox.

Nothing like getting a virtual check for tens of thousands of dollars instead of more student loans plus interest. #greenasssmack to that. Would have been amazing if the dean in dental school walked up to me and said, "Hey, we have noticed how nice your MOD amalgams look and we have decided that you do not need to pay for school any more." I would have taken a knee and wept. Keep up the good work Kenny and Dan!
