Kalil Branham is fast!
Crucify my if you must for my first post (and on mobile to boot) but all ye Michigan faithful should pay this young man’s YouTube channel a visit and surely we can boost him up from 28 subscribers. The man is FAST, appears to compile and edit his own subtley epic highlight tape, and as he runs, if you look closely, you can make out a massive chip on his shoulder. Oh and by the way he hails from the depths of CFB Hell (Columbus, OH).
I know there was a Hello: post and all that, but we should show the man some more love on his channel!
So he’s Steve Largent...
I like those sit down squats. The legs are worked differently with the complete stop, and the weight taken of the legs for a pause, at the bottom.
Are you drunk?
They are called box squats and they are made to more emphasis on the posterior chain creating more explosiveness because you're taking the stretch reflex out of the equation. The pause does not completely take the weight off at the bottom, that's not the point. You should remain extremely tight, pressure is still on the legs but taken off of the knees considerably. Also, typically done with a wider stance, as mentioned above the work the posterior chain more which is advantageous for someone who is a sprinter
Athlean X shows those sit down squats been wanting to try them when I'm in the gym next.
This is not a crucifixion, but a suggestion.
Always start with the basic info and then give your take. To wit:
"Kalil Branham, 2020 WR commitment from Columbus, OH (Northland) (MGoBlog Hello HERE) is fast yada yada yada."
It saves people additional searching and makes them like you more.
I agree. In today's online age, it is very important to know proper message board etiquette so people will like you. It is truly a confidence builder.
Political BS on this blog.
I didn't read but was censored for saying BS.
BS blog.
Find this one.
Did you even search the board before posting this? Somebody already posted about how he can run 52mph.
No, they clearly posted that he was catching footballs thrown at 52 mph. So he runs faster, has to be able to run 53 mph at the very least to catch up with those balls.
Next week he’ll be able to throw the ball 52 mph, so we’re all set at QB and WR in 2020-23ish.
Seriously though, throw this young man some deep skinny posts and good things will happen...or even a mismatch on a wheel route.
omg drew, that's good, I'm still laughing.
And apparently he has an account on this blog
J/K
I've seen his track times. He is fast but his times aren't elite. Then again, he just finished his sophmore year so plenty of time to improve.
His moves to get open, and his hands will be more important. Jerry Rice did not have a fast 40: But he's clearly the best WR ever.
Here's 40 times of some of the best WR's ever:
Jerry Rice: 4.71
Cris Carter: 4:63
Anquan Boldin: 4.71
Larry Fitzgerald: 4.63
Kalil Branham runs a 4:43. I wish elite moves and hands for him.
He runs 200s and 400s and a few 100s. It would be nice to see him running more shorter races and training short distance speed. But he still looks like a good one.
Speed kills...get all of it you can young man.
Good to see him preparing for those lasers from Milton.
I've been impressed with what I've read about Kalil.
1) Given his name is Kalil, I urge instant adoption of the SuperBran nickname.
2) Love his work ethic.
3) Find it interesting that his 200m and 400m seem to be better than his 100m in track.
I hope to see some 91.44 meter dashes in the future or as they say in America 100 yards!
Not a novel opinion, but I'm always impressed by people who train in the 400m also, that race is pure mental torture.
