Not every injury is serious enough to bench your starting quarterback in the biggest game of the season, and smaller injuries can become bigger ones once a guy takes contact. To suggest Meyer "didn't give a shit" is disingenuous.

And what happens if the tape emerges and it indeed shows the person hit him on purpose? What's bush league, Urban pointing it out, or someone on the Michigan sideline hurting an opposing quarterback?
It would be one thing if it was indeed accidental, and I hope it was. But people who saw what happened are apparently saying there seemed to be some malicious intent. Hope someone got it on film so the truth comes out.

Not going to laugh about a kid getting hurt, especially if it started with a freak accident during pregame warmups. And Urban is right here--there are too many folks hanging around on the field. If this were Michigan, you bet your ass Harbaugh would be equally outraged.

Sadly, Michigan doesn't yet have that ability

And why it can't put together a solid team and beat a top-ranked team let alone a rival team.
This story is getting tiring.

I guess it's because I'm newer, but I can't start new threads.
Someone talk about Speight transferring!
Sorry for the off topic.

on a new era of Ohio State football.
Meyer probably knows he's effed this time around with the team he has, even against Wisconsin. Haskins threaded some passes but from what I saw they became so much more conventional in their offense heavily reliant on RBs. Meaning, we pretty much owned them 1st and 2nd downs, then they beat us on 3rd down passing. Imo the Sconnies are going to tee off on that. Barrett will probably play in Indy but he won't last long if the hits are coming fast and furious. But trying to live off RBs isn't a recipe for a dominant offense.
So its a clever pacifier for their fanbase to plant the seed that a cameraman injured him and by God is there going to be an investigation that won't even stop at the doors of Congress.
I've had this feeling that Meyer feasted on the success of Barrett - was a perfect fit for his system as a fairly durable runner, enough threat to stop spying the RB and just enough threat to pass to really open up the run game. Similar to a guy in East Lansing who feasted on the success of Connor Cook.
We will see.

OSU fans are not enamoured of Barrett, if all the bitching and whining from OSU fans around us was anything to go by.
He's a serviceable QB and even seems like a decent guy, plus he was included in Heiseman discussion earlier when he was putting up some good numbers. After yesterday, though, I am wondering how good he really is. Did OSU get other zebra gifts this season? Have not watched them other than the final few minutes of the game where MSU evidently folded like wet spaghetti. Could this whole killer-camera injury be Urban's stunt attempt at trying to influence the Heiseman committee, the playoff committee, or NFL scouts?
From other comments on the board I gather JT's draft stock wasn't all that high to begin with. Michigan may have helped highlight this. NFL people know what to look for, and a QB who depends on uncalled, eggregious holding to be able to run, isn't what they're looking for.
