John O'Korn Number 5?
In the post on the front page about returning players John O'Korn is wearing number 5. He was #5 at Houston and at St Thomas Aquinas. Naturally if he's the starter, will he be asked to change his number (?) because that would mean Jabrill couldn't be on the field at the same time. Not a problem per se, but Jabrill was also number 5 in high school, so perhaps both players are attached to their numbers...?
Perhaps Harbaugh will have a fun competition for them to decide who keeps it?

Why can't we do decimals, so JP can be "5" and O'Korn can be "5.0"??? And the next kid who wore a 5 can be "5.00", amirite!

I will be honest here - through the years, it has troubled me and I have wondered why, even in jest, you could not have a mathematical or scientific constant as your number, even if just for one game. Avogadro's constant, for example, or the speed of light would be kind of amusing on the back of a jersey - "Who is this dude wearing c? He's good."

Keyshawn Pie Young could have the pi symbol or use 3.14.

He wore #14 at some point in high school.
Currently that is Allen Gant and Drake Harris. That said, I do think he goes to #15 next year. Unless Peppers goes to #2 and Mitchell redshirts.

He played there as a Fresh and Soph before transferring for his final 2 years at STA.

Arm talent? Yes. Demeanor, control of the offense, intangibles? Those are going to be hard to match.
From what I gather, John O'Korn is pretty much everything people wanted Shane Morris to be.

I dont care what number either of them wear as long as JP plays at a high level and Okorn doesnt screw things up (hard to do with jimmy as your coach)

Since Peppers is the returning starter I would assume he would get to keep it, but if not im sure Harbaugh will have something to do that seems perfectly fitting

O'Korn will have to take #15. Peppers ain't giving up #5 and no way in hell O'Korn beats him out for it.
January 6th, 2016 at 6:32 PM ^
You know Jabrill? Or are you saying "I'd be shocked if Peppers gave up #5"???
January 6th, 2016 at 6:37 PM ^
Actually, I know him personally. Had lunch with him earlier.

He's using twitter in spanish, and he's not even making sense:
Mi Esposa hermosa en todo el mundo.
My beautiful wife in the entire world (worldwide).
Should have been:
Mi Esposa hermosa es el mejor en todo el mundo.
My beautiful wife is the best in the entire world.

We'll just give Peppers #1
January 6th, 2016 at 6:50 PM ^
If the two players can't amicably solve this quandry between themselves, then neither player shall wear #5. Instead, each player will be given a separate list of numbers from which to choose.
January 6th, 2016 at 6:54 PM ^
John O'Korn also gets jersey #5---however, it's Roman Numeral 5: "V"
"V"
....as in "5", and also as in "Victors".

Interestingly enough, before uniform numbers became regulated and standardized, some teams experimented with alphanumeric jersey numbering:
Kentucky (1950):
LSU (1952):

I hope so. The last RB to wear #6 was pretty good.

How 'bout "0" for O'Korn? Has Michigan ever had a number 0?
EDIT: Over/Under on time from 7pm EST for WD to definitively answer whether or not and who and when the numbers 00 or 0 were issued to a Michigan football player. That Superguide of his . . .
