That beacon of culture, a cosmopolitan metropolis, c'est magnifique (or so I'm told, I've only been to the rubber bowl)
Good luck JKP, except when you play EMU
Akron is Toledo without the culture. Toledo is Cleveland without the burning river.
Akron does have the best stadium in the MAC
I’ll admit it, I liked the title (begrudgingly).
Good for him. He enrolled early and graduated in three years.
It's always interesting to see where these guys wind up. I can't say for sure that the Woods and Spanellis decisions (Duke and Vanderbilt) were driven by academics, but that's at least a possibility given their prestige, etc.
Similarly, I can't say for sure that JKP's decision (Akron, definitely a rung below Michigan) was driven by football. (I don't know what his other opportunities were.) It makes me think of Shane Morris and other guys that went to the MAC.
If you go the MAC route, or any other non Power 5 school, I would say it's safe to assume it's a playing immediately decision.
I hope he does well and makes several dollars later in life.
Nice title. Upvote deserved. And best wishes to JKP. I hope he finds personal success on and off the field.
Cool. I didn’t want to have to resort to going to Case Western games. Though their primary color is blue, they are the Spartans (barf) so I guess now I have a reason to head 35 min down the highway to go see Akron games.
I guess I could go see Kent State games but people at Kent State don’t go see Kent State games. They’re the EMU of Ohio.
Now that I think about it, those schools are 15-20 min away from each other .... I could go to both
Recruiting.
Godspeed, Jaylen!
Good for him. Wish him luck.
Nice title word play. Zipped right over LMNO.
Maybe I'm biased but if you transfer to a MAC school I'm going to some place like OU over Akron, just for the town alone.
