Jim Harbaugh on Pardon My Take tomorrow, Kicking off Training Camp Week
So, I guess I am required by 2019 law to preface this by saying that Barstool Sucks, Nazis are bad, Racism isn’t good, Cancer is whack etc., etc. because the last time someone posted about PMT there was a bunch of hobbiest-offended-people responding to how barstool is evil.
Now that we got the formalities out of the way, it seems that Jim Harbaugh will be kicking off their Training Camp series. I had never heard of PMT until Harbaugh appeared on their show 2 years ago, now I listen 3 times a week (when they post episodes) during my commute. I believe they are the number 1 sports podcast by a good margin, so this isn’t insignificant.

Very cool, those guys always give great interviews!
They are the only interviewer that I hear getting almost everyone to feel comfortable to share beyond the typical coach / players speak.
Agree , although Bill Simmons does a great job on his podcast too, although he interviews more actors and celebrities but does a superb job with them. Maybe that’s a big reason why both of these podcasts are consistently rated near the top downloads each week.
Pretty sure they interviewed Don Brown as well. That’ll be a good one.
I believe that one is supposed to be on the “Barstool Gold” segment of their show which is their premium portion. It is making me consider shelling out a few bucks just for that interview but I’ll probably wait to read the cliff notes first.
*double post*
I don't think I've ever visited barstool's website, but I do follow PFT and Big Cat on social media and they're incredibly entertaining. I love pizza so I like the pizza reviews that Portnoy does too (though I can totally see how people think he's a jackass...cause it's pretty clear he is).
All the MGo mods seem to hate them in unison for some transgressions of the past. Don't know the full story there, but I honestly don't have enough energy to keep track of people who I must boycott.
I can’t keep up with the majority of things that are “cancelled” nowadays on social media culture, so I have to preface things like “man, I love papa johns pizza, but I don’t condone racism”.
I posted last year on my neighborhood Facebook group that “I hope they bring a Chik-Fil-A to our town in the new development” and dear God you would have thought I killed someone. I had to delete the comment.
HAHA!! Yet, when that CFA opens for business, the lines will be on the street with employees directing traffic at both lunch and dinner times. People are blowhards behind the anonymity of the internet...
Annual sales for the average CFA is $4.6M. Ya, I don’t think the protests are working at all.
Probably because the chicken is so damn good.
PS: People are crazy. Facebook is toxic.
You’re about the same as me. I don’t visit their site or read their articles , but I follow some of them on twitter who are very good twitter follows (big cat and Trent are my favorites ) and also for some reason love the pizza reviews and watch those every time . I’d like some day to see Brian and Dave fight in a cage match.
People can not like Portnoy but still like PMT (which are my feelings). It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Well, that is how rational people see it.

I like Portnoy. I get the shtick. He makes me laugh. It is causing you no harm and I take exception to you placing a label on people for their personal tastes. That doesn't seem very rational.

I'm referring to the condemnation from someone that anyone that clicks anything to do with barstool or anyone or anything remotely connected to barstool are the worst people on the planet. I believe there were some tweets referenced some months back that claimed just that.
That stance is not rational.

My apologies. I obviously took that the wrong way.

No worries

I agree it's not all or nothing but it's not just the Portnoy stuff that makes people mad.
It's been well documented that Barstool has always stolen a ton of their content (social media and editorial) which understandably makes people who make content mad.
You can still like PMT if you want but it's also understandable that others wouldn't want to support them given who they make money for.

I know there are a lot of Lions and Browns fans around here. Sounds like Matt Patricia and Baker Mayfield will be Wednesday and Friday in some order.

PMT is a pretty good podcast. I haven’t listened in a while because Dan Katz is getting a little arrogant. The success of their podcast has gone to his head. He so often says “ yeah yeah yeah” in a dismissive way to people.

PMT guys are awesome, Jim will give them a good interview for sure
A 272lb Bench Murderface Mason on the D-line...?
PFT was in Detroit for the debates last week so I walked down Woodward to look for him, and luckily ran into him right away. He was super nice and happy to stop for a pic despite the fact that he was walking into the debate area and went on the Hard Factor live broadcast a few minutes later. I know, cool stary, bro.
I really enjoy their podcast. I'm in the niche that really gets the intersection of sports media/internet message board hot take culture that they are sending up. As they've gotten more serious, and more experienced, their interview quality has gotten better and I think the format relaxes some of the more uptight interviewees. Athletes and coaches who generally don't deviate from the same talking points when talking to the usual local sports talk jackass tend to open up a little more and have fun with the PMT guys, and that's normally great.

Harbaugh uses Excel as a word processor.
Did he really claim to be co-Big Ten champs?
