In the 3rd round he wouldn't be a steal. That's implying he's a first or second round talent. He's not. He might have a nice career, but he'd be a steal in 5-7. Nobody will take a chance on him any higher than that.
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:19 AM ^
I don't think you're right. I think someone takes him in 3-4th. They'd be stupid not to.
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:41 AM ^
I believe Lucky Socks was saying that he'd be a steal in the 5th-7th rounds, but that he fits in the 3rd-4th rounds. So you're essentially saying the same thing.

Tavon Austin was the 8th overall pick last year, and he measured 5'8" at the combine. Gallon isn't as ridiculously explosive as Austin, but I think a lot of NFL teams are starting to look beyond height in a receiver, particularly now that everyone uses spread formations with slot receivers.
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:06 AM ^
I just hope he ends up on a decent team that knows how to use a slot receiver, not some crappy team like Jacksonville.

Ace Sanders (Jacksonville Jaguars)
Height - 5'7
Receptions - 51 (as a rookie)

His point was Denard Robinson.

i'm going to file his height as a non factor since the man can leap vertically at twice that height. not to mention the ball magnet hands, and the romulan star empire cloaking device built in.

It's absolutely incredible how explosive he is.

was 6th among the OL (made the scrolling list on NFL Network).

should have trained like Gallon, Gallon's way faster....
February 23rd, 2014 at 7:12 PM ^
posted a better 40 time than some of the QBs.

4.42 on the second run (unofficial of course)
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:28 AM ^
Nice! Even faster. How many runs do they get? Any chance he cracks the 4.3 wall?
February 23rd, 2014 at 10:11 AM ^
Hes second run was a 4.42

I am hoping he goes to Detroit in the 4th or 6th. He is a good blocker and the Lions need somebody other than a RB to go underneath with a big catching radius.

No true Michigan fan should ever wish that fate on a Wolverine.

I bet he'll get drafted late and stick in the NFL for years as a ninja slot guy. He's just too good for his size

crapped himself running the gauntlet.
February 23rd, 2014 at 10:58 AM ^
I've been bouncing between the two online feeds trying to catch him and haven't seen him.
Btw anyone catch Latimer's bench? Looked effortless getting to 20.
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:05 AM ^
but his second run of the gauntlet was televised, he had three straight drops.
February 23rd, 2014 at 11:18 AM ^
He would be so much easier to spot. Just caught him catch a curl but without them calling his name I wouldn't have known.
February 23rd, 2014 at 12:29 PM ^
February 23rd, 2014 at 12:33 PM ^
he was allowing the ball to get too close. Nobody else I saw had the that number of misses, so I've got to think it was on him.
February 23rd, 2014 at 7:48 PM ^
He caught them all. Most humans are too slow to notice how quickly he discards the ball after a secured catch.
If that skill translated to a football edge, Gallon would be the #1 overall pick.
February 23rd, 2014 at 10:40 AM ^
That's cuz he's a ninja.

But both Welker and Amendola have carved out roles after going undrafted despite outstanding college production. Given the depth of this WR draft, that very well may be Gallon's fate.
