Osu qb’s don’t help out anybody’s career in the nfl. Except maybe the other qb’s on the roster.
I honestly think fields is going to be good. Yep I know this opinion wont be popular but this is what I think .
I’m not so sure. I have heard people say he doesn’t throw the ball well into tight coverages. The Bears probably isn’t a great team for him either. Won’t break my heart if he is terrible.
"I heard some people who said he didnt throw well into tight coverage " yeah real convincing stuff right there
“I honestly think fields is going to be good”
Just as convincing.
What a dumb comparison I'm not saying he throws well into tight coverage and providing no evidence to back it up what a horrible comparison.
quote from Todd McShay
“So that’s kind of an issue and they also think and I see the same thing on tape, is that he loves to see his receiver come open and he doesn’t anticipate enough throws. So that’s where he needs to improve.”
“It’s not about Fields falling or anything about his skill set. He is probably the most physically gifted quarterback in this class. The only issue when I talk to teams is that he had over 200 passes last year, 200 plus were off his first read and only seven were him sitting in the pocket going from progression one to progression two.”
This has already been proven to be false I literally have a link that shows this is bs . Todd mcshay is literally known for being clueless. Nor does any of this actually talk about him throwing into tight coverage even if this was true . So once again this makes no sense .https://www.thecutffb.com/post/justin-fields-qb1
Fields sure made it look easy at OSU while at the college level.
It will be interesting to see if Fields can make the transition.
I hope Butt gets 10+ TDs and if they all come from Fields it will be fine by me.
Good luck to him. So much promise but injuries have robbed him of a successful career so far. Hopefully he can find a role on the team.
Everybody likes Bear Butts.
Bears, Butts, Battlestar Galactica.
Heh... hehe...
Bear Butts.
Bear Butt... Hehe...
So, I have to despise him now.
I thought the bears are going with Dalton as the starter? Thought I read that somewhere
Nagy said Dalton would be the starter a few days ago.
He will be the starter but its obvious they will transition to fields at some point
I wouldn’t count on that. That coaching staff needs to win now.
This year would have to be a real disaster for Nagy and Pace to get fired.
Any mgochicagoans care to comment on the soldier field rumblings? I know it's not as historical as Wrigley and the parks and rec grounds crew is incompetent but I was still blindsided by the bears bidding on that race track site. (Packer fan here who wants to go to a game at soldier field sometime).
It would be hard to give a good, thorough answer in this space, so assuming it's alright, here's my blog from yesterday about it. Link.
(If this isn't allowed, mods, I sincerely apologize.)
Bear down!
Jake Butt, Jimmy Graham, and Cole Kmet, the Bears have a strong tight end room.
Wasn't it the Bears a few years ago that started the preseason with about 8 TE's? Must have had a QB with a short arm...
Hahaha yeah, I do remember them having a bunch of tight ends a few years ago.
The Mitchell Trubisky Era is over, though, all about Andy Dalton and Justin Fields now!
Hopefully he can stay healthy and meet all of his potential p
As a Broncos fan, I really wish things had worked out differently for Jake in Denver. At this point, I just hope he can stay healthy and have a decent career in the NFL.
Booty time!!
Aeneas Williams, John Booty, and Harry Colon all preceded Jake Butt on my favorite names team.
Who is advising him?
Surprised nobody’s mentioned yet that Tyrone Wheatley Jr was also signed by the Bears as an offensive lineman.
I think Michigan fans will always be rooting for Jake. If anyone doesn't remember, his physical problems resulted from an injury he sustained while playing in a bowl game that others sat out to avoid that possibility.
