Jabrill Peppers misses awards banquet to make up test

Submitted by OldDad67 on

Mo Hurst and running backs Ty Issac and Drake Johnson were absent because of end- of-the-semester papers and exams. Another great thing about Michigan and coach Harbaugh. Academics come first. I wonder how many other schools/coaches would do the same. Are you listening Ess Eee See? https://www.landof10.com/michigan/jabrill-peppers-misses-awards-banquet

Peppers was out of town basically all of last week for the national awards banquets. Apparently they had practice on Monday. It appears the pportunity for Peppers to take exam was limited.

Am guessing they scheduled the awards banquet to be at the beginning of the dead period for recruiting, so all the coaches would be there. Am thinking the only other option is to schedule it later in Dec, and that may not be possible with holidays (for attendance purposes) and bowl prep for the team.

have the foresight to arrange for proxy test-takers. You know, smart students who will take a test for a football player whose busy schedule doesn't allow time for those inconveniences. Why don't we do this?!? /S in case you couldn't figure it out...

I don't know if it will still be posted, but when I clicked on the Pepper's story, there was another link to a Weater Channel story about a panther leaping a canal. While a live wolverine is still the most awesome sight, in nature, seeing that panther glide of the canal is pretty awe-inspiring. Check it out, if it's still there.

Bummer. Guess he'll have to make up for it by attending next year, amirite?

But seriously, good for him. Some things in life are more important than football. Getting your degree and preparing for life after football is one of them. Everyone plays their last game at some point.
