It's Thursday. It's a drinking thread.
Work 'till late but cracking open something tasty to start the weekend...probably some Barleywine...it's life!
walked out of the garage leaving the rest for them to finish tonight and tomorrow. think i'll have a bit of vino. started working @ 0430 hrs.
more complicted and i don't think they retained that as well. i want them all to be able to do most of the basic building disciplines, maybe excepting plumbing which i know very little about.
Dammit, MeanJoe got into the fermented eucalyptus juice again.
did you have any extra work with the storms rolling through? we had power out in spots up here.
Feeling that nice gentle glaze settling in
Dirty Bastard
I had the M-43 tonight. Stopped by Bells earlier today. Wish they did some of the trendier beers. Larry would make a killer NE IPA if he gave a fuck.
Mosaic Pale from Lynnwood. Deschuetes had a welcome to NC thing at the local bar/bottleshop thingy we have here. I had a fresh squeezed and then remembered Deschuetes was an AB-InBev acquisition. Switched back to the local stuff ASAP.
Deschuetes was one of my favs. I'll probably still buy the Black Butte Reserve when and if I see it. I won't be buying Abyss anymore however. It has really gone downhill the last few years, seems like they're not aging it as long.
So actual real question. I'm returning to west Michigan for the first time in a few years for a family reunion this week. Anyone have hot takes on newer breweries in GR / Kalamazoo / TC areas, because that's where I'll be? I used to live in Kazoo and work within walking distance from Bells and I've been to Founders and Vivant several times. I know New Holland well. What's new and spectacular?
Thank you.
of stool softener.
with that limp-necked Alpaca.
can live in peace and pastured harmony. #endthealpacahate!
Thursday is a drinking day.
SATURDAY'S A RUGBY DAY.
From Ballast Point brewery. Drinking the local stuff tonight. Got family in town, so I can't get the bud light. Gotta act like I'm not an alcoholic with an internet community that enables me....
Dogfish Head Seaquench Ale. It has an interesting flavor, but it's very good. It's brewed with lime peel, black limes, and sea salt. It is sort of sweet, but it is definitely worth a try!
and got up to get a beer - Bass Ale. Went back to watching MLB Network and forgot to post!
Just wanted to thank the OP for the suggestion.
I happened to find Becherovka
Nice stuff I'd say
