I think yesterday may very well have been the smoothest transition to non-OT that we've had around here, or at least in the 3.5 years I'v been around. I don't think a single thread was taken down for non-adherence to the imposed rules. Well done, MGoBlog!

More importantly, of course, football is here at last - we're anticipating a real live game this week as well as a flurry of news about final tweaks to the publicized "depth chart", which of course is not necessarily the depth chart. Surely, this is the best time of the year around here.

As for Peppers, like others, I am very intrigued by the possibility that he'll do amazing things right out of the gate and if so, it will be fun to see entire sections of that stadium smile in unison and turn to opposing fans with that smile still on their faces.

I feel this is the most anticipated start to a season since Lloyd left. We have a team capable of reaching all of their goals. There is something about this team that I feel will be special.

Is this not straight out of a movie? I feel there is approximately a 92% chance that once Michigan wins this weekend by 40, we are ALL going to be sucked into a time continum vortex, and will be sucked back to the start of the 2007 season where we can prevent anything bad from happening to the team becuase we have paid our dues the past seven years.

I know...WAY early. But here's what the NWS says:

Saturday:  A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79.

They haven't "graced" us with a percentage on that chance, as of yet. But at least while it'll be warm, it won't be sweltering. Anyone recall the opener vs. Washington in 2002?

The dreaded "50% chance" of rain.

Saturday:  A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. South southwest wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
