Per Isaiah himself on TikTok (@isaiahgash41) he had career ending knee surgery to replace the cartilage for a second time. I haven’t seen this posted yet so I figured I’d share.

I WILL NEVER FORGET,"The Catch!"  I witnessed it live and I still cannot believe it!  I was like who?  I will never forget you, "Mr Gash!"  Thanks for being a Wolverine.  Go Blue, forever.

Did a huge part in saving Michigan’s seasons against Illinois. Fourth down, game on the line, most high pressure moment in the season up to that point, and he halls that pass in and delivers.

Thank you for your efforts and your service, Isaiah. I’m sure you have a lot of great things ahead of you.

The news is very sad.  I wish Isaiah a complete recovery - and, best of luck in his studies as he continues to pursue his degree.

He's been a key part of this team as its realized great success these past two seasons - and, the espirit de corps of the team - how everyone plays a role - and contributions can be made in the weight room, on the practice field, etc. - stay with him forever.

Go Blue!

If it is related to the University Of Michigan, it is never OT around here. "OT" is seasonally defined around here and has admittedly blurry boundaries, so don't worry about it. Indeed, I am primarily responsible for it having such a vague definition, so I own that.

As for Gash, sad news indeed, but hopefully, he recovers quickly enough.

Sad to hear. He stepped up in a tough spot last year against ILL and made one of the most important plays of the season with that 4th down catch. I will always appreciate him for that. Wishing him the best with the procedure!

what a total bummer.

however…two-time letter winner, a huge play to help get us past illinois, academic all-B1G, and a degree from <james earl jones voice> the greatest university in the world.  pretty, pretty good…i’m sure he’s bummed right now, but i’m sure he’ll eventually see it as a good trade.

Easy to forget how close we were to losing that Illinois game last year.  Gash made that massive 4th down catch to keep us alive.

We're really going to miss Moody if we get in a game like that again this fall.  When we got to field goal range at the end, I knew we were okay.
