of threads disappeared yesterday due to some glitch. Go back and try to find anything about this kid. Rather than asking mods to delete this thread, how about asking to bring those back? No one is complaining about the thread directly below this which also duplicates the Hunter Reynolds thread from yesterday.

It's not wolfman's fault. He gets an upvote from me.

There is no hurdle to clear in order to vote or have kids.  So two of the most important ways to shape the world are provided to... literally everybody (except felons and eunuchs).

Basically, life is one HUGE participation trophy.  I could only wish that voting and parenting were privledges provided only after you pass a some sort of idiot test.  It would make the world a much better place.  Until then, please go ahead and rail on participation trophies while remaining blissfully ignorant that they are analogous to your own life.

I understand the implications. I guess my biggest thing is that there should not be such a strong push to get people to vote. If you're apolitical, you don't know, don't care, so don't vote. Don't do it because it's vogue, do it because you believe in something. People with no interest in politics should simply stay away from them completely. Leave it to those who are knowledgeable on both sides.

Close to about 12-16 hours of threads were basically erased from existence because of what happened to the site, so there's no way to bring any of that back. I think anyone who posted in that timeframe probably had any points they accumulated in that space taken out too because it seems like it reverted to the last saved version of the site. NSD 2017 on MGoBlog will basically be remembered for a lot of things, including being misremembered by a database problem.

You didn't really think that this would slip past the notice of the board, did you?

Imma look at this as a posbang thread for the time it stays up.  Not that it's positive that a kid with a bright future made an idiotic and life-changing mistake.  On an individual level, I hope he turns his life around and overcomes this episode. (That's assuming he's guilty.  Which is likely, because in a case like this, he probably did not get jailed on suspiction.)

But it is a nice counterpoint to the "we value character over stars" narrative that MSU adopted over the weekend.  I reserve the right to laugh about that element of the overall story.  Winston - Jeyru - this kid?  Consistency matters in a program I suppose.

I wanted to give SemperFi a chance to figure it out, but now that you've explained the gag, that's correct.

I also hit our good leatherneck up with a couple of upvotes.  Don't know why folks neg people on this board for not getting a joke.  Our Devil Dog was simply asking a question, not being a jerk about it.
