Why aren't you banned yet? Obvious troll is obvious.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:04 AM ^
As a Browns fan I don’t want to see him again this season. It’s not the first case of reckless behavior on field from him but it’s absolutely the most extreme and should be punished. He’s lucky if he avoids criminal charges because he could have severely injured Rudolph.

“Don’t start none. Won’t be none”
-Sir Miles Garrett
November 15th, 2019 at 12:07 AM ^
And what’s up with Cleveland’s coach? I wouldn’t want that guy representing my organization dressing like that.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:07 AM ^
What is it about the state of Ohio that brings this stuff out in people?
November 15th, 2019 at 12:13 AM ^
That team is real undisciplined. Head shots, helmet to helmet hits and the brawl at the end. It’s a coaching staff issue. Clean house.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:18 AM ^
I ask myself that same thing every time I see Desmond Howard on Game Day or being interviewed.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:38 AM ^
Go shit in a cooler, Buckeye trash.
November 15th, 2019 at 1:10 AM ^
His Game Day threads look pretty good to me.

The state of Ohio
November 15th, 2019 at 12:08 AM ^
Can't wait to see the math on how much money that costs him for something so stupid.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:11 AM ^
Waiting on mgrowold’s take.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:35 AM ^
Of course, said take will be prefaced by a two-paragraph self-flagellation about being a Browns fan.
At some point, if it's so horrible, why bother?
November 15th, 2019 at 12:44 AM ^
I'm a reformed Knick fan. I said this very thing to myself years ago, renounced the MSG Horrorshow, and...life has never been better!
November 15th, 2019 at 12:47 AM ^
I mean, really. All the guy does is complain about being a Browns fan. There's no award for fan endurance to be won here. If it sucks so much, just bail.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:58 AM ^
I hope he doesn’t. Remember how much we had to read about him giving up his season tickets to M games?
November 15th, 2019 at 1:11 AM ^
Oh yeah, this is a great point.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:21 AM ^
All I do is complain about being a browns fan?
I eagerly await your reposting of those comments so my memory can be refreshed as I definitely don't remember them.
FWIW I'm sick to my stomach over this. I was there and Instead of celebrating our first, very dominant, win over Pittsburgh in five years we have to deal with this. Yes I think Miles completely overreacted to Rudolph trying to pull his helmet off and getting kicked in the balls twice. And there is no excuse for it.
What I'm hearing this am is Miles 4-6 games, Pouncey 2 and Rudolph 1. The media and most of this thread are ignoring this all started with Rudolph but the NFL isnt.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:11 AM ^
I’m still in a state of shock that I just witnessed what just happened.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:14 AM ^
Hard to fault a guy for what happens in the heat of moment like that, but I have to imagine he'll be suspended for multiple games. Not great for the Browns.
I wonder if Rudolph was trash-talking him during the game. It's bizarre that he got so aggressive with only 14 seconds left in the game.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:18 AM ^
It will get swept under the rug because of what transpired afterward, But it look like Rudolph first was going after Garrett. Grabbing his facemask and such.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:22 AM ^
Yeah looked like Rudolph took offense to Garretts late takedown and started pulling on Garretts facemask.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:27 AM ^
"His hand was stuck in the helmet" per Troy Aikman.
I saw it like you did. It was a steady escalation from Garrett giving Rudolph a little extra on the tackle when the ball was already gone, to Rudolph twisting on Garrett's facemask in the pile, to Garrett grabbing back and ripping Randolph's helmet off altogether, to...WTF? Swinging a helmet at someone's bare head isn't just escalation.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:42 AM ^
Rudolph was definitely trying to get back at Garrett in some way for the hit (it's sorta hard to tell if he was actually trying to pull it off or just sorta smacking at him generally and grabbing at the first thing with an edge), but it's sorta irrelevant when the other guy actually rips your helmet off and then starts swinging it at people.
It only took the Browns about half a season to go from "ah, that would be a nice feel-good moment if they were competitive this year" to "oh yeah, that's why they're the Browns", which is admittedly pretty impressive.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:16 AM ^
Actually, that wasn’t even the worst thing I saw tonight from a Browns player! Randall launching himself at the Pittsburgh WR hitting him with the crown of his helmet so hard that the poor guy was bleeding from his ear. Rudolph will be ok and play next week. The WR might be out for a while after that hit!
November 15th, 2019 at 12:47 AM ^
Exactly. Every single person here would rather get a helmet swung at them than endure what that pitt receiver took.
Aikman called swinging a helmet barbaric. It’s like going to a gladiator fight and getting appalled that a gladiator swung a wine goblet at another After the fight.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:53 AM ^
It’s not an either/or situation. Both can be wrong, no?
November 15th, 2019 at 1:20 AM ^
Have a 6'4", 275lb. guy hit you with a helmet full force and let us know your thoughts again.
November 15th, 2019 at 2:08 AM ^
How amazing would it be to see a Sport Science episode with John Brenkus on that?
November 15th, 2019 at 6:31 AM ^
I’m not sure what I’d rather have. Dude flying into my helmet with a shoulder leading to a bleeding ear or the other. Probably a bleeding ear in case the helmet doesn’t land soft?
November 15th, 2019 at 8:18 AM ^
How OK you are with somebody swinging a football helmet at somebody's head is pretty disturbing.
November 15th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
I was telling the story this morning to a friend, a Soviet emigre who sees American football as the modern equivalent of Roman gladiatorial combat, and when I got to Aikman's "barbaric" comment she said "is the Onion back in business?"
We football fans have to go through a fair bit of acculturation to learn what is and isn't acceptable violence. It's not obvious to outsiders.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:51 AM ^
The weird thing about that play was the mystified look on Randall's face when he got tossed, like he had no idea he'd done anything even questionable.
It's happening too often to not be a coaching issue. I thought that stuff would go away when Gregg Williams left, but I was wrong.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:18 AM ^
The NHL has had assault charges filed so there is precedent. Both Garrett and Pouncey are guilty of aggravated battery (Pouncey kicking at his head) but Pouncey could say he was acting in self defense of Rudolph.
Either way, seriously man? You took a guy’s helmet off and started swinging at him and hit him. Geez.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:25 AM ^
And they play again in 3 weeks. Get the popcorn ready for that one.
November 15th, 2019 at 1:27 AM ^
They may as well put that one on pay-per-view for $99.99.
November 15th, 2019 at 9:27 AM ^
The only person who can act "in self defense of Rudolph" is Rudolph, y'know, himself.
I think states differ over whether it's legal to use force in defense of a third person. I have no idea what the law in Ohio is.
November 15th, 2019 at 2:38 PM ^
For the record, it's legal in Ohio to use force in defense of a third party, even a stranger, if that person would have had the legal right to use force himself.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
hope sparty doesn't get any inspiration from that trash
November 15th, 2019 at 12:50 AM ^
Like sparty needs inspiration to do something like that? Let’s hop in the way back machine....
November 15th, 2019 at 6:07 AM ^
Holy shit, I had not seen that before. Swung his stick at the head of a UM player's head while he was down. Criminal/civil charges should apply. Don't know what transpired, but MSU should have been sued for that. Fuck sparty!
November 15th, 2019 at 6:40 AM ^
The players were both kicked off the team for the remainder of the season, which I imagine is what will happen to Garrett. Although it was the MSU coach who kicked them off, not the B1G or the NCAA.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:23 AM ^
I really kind of admire Pouncey beating his ass. Good stuff man. ?
November 15th, 2019 at 12:24 AM ^
FUCK THAT MOTHERFUCKER GARRETT WHAT A FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!!! HE'S LUCKY POUNCEY DIDNT KILL HIM. FUCK CLEVELAND!!! CANT WAIT FOR THE GAME IN A FEW WEEKS!! THERE WILL BE RETRIBUTION!!!!!!!
November 15th, 2019 at 12:30 AM ^
The downfall of the Steelers is quite satisfying. Dudes play dirty af but get away with it b/c of their owners.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:33 AM ^
Quit drinking and go to bed. Making yourself look silly here tonight and I am not a Steelers fan.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:39 AM ^
Making myself look silly?? A dude took his helmet off, swung it and hit a player in the head. Why don't you go to bed? I'm not drinking. I am pissed off. Imagine if Chase Young did this to Shea Patterson. You would be pissed off too (and so would I).
November 15th, 2019 at 12:44 AM ^
My comment was to ThePube. Not you. I agree with you.
November 15th, 2019 at 12:53 AM ^
Downfall? They lost Antonio Brown in the off-season, lost Roethlisberger 1.5 games into the season, have played multiple games without James Connor and are 5-5.
The Browns, the preseason super bowl champions, needed 4 turnovers against the Replacements to get to 4-6.
