Wow, the ultimate disrespect? Can't wait for that Rutgers vs. Sparty match up to finally settle who is the worst team in the  B1G this year.

I still think the ultimate disrespekt moment of the week - and we are measuring it in week-long segments this season - comes when a 2-7 MSU has to play a 2-7 Rutgers and Dantonio has to say, as he did the other day in a presser, that this could be a tough game.....against Rutgers. That might even be self-disrespekt on his part.

LMAO!! Disrespkt!!!

I also listened to Harbaugh's segment. It's clear the coaches don't like these, and it's clear why - the questions sucked. Baumgartner asked a good one about fixing the issues that allowed MD to get around the corner (the answer was setter a better edge, addressed in game). One yahoo asked oh he encouraged the players to vote, JMFH said "yes". An awkward pause followed.

I love Harbaugh...

As a said heading into the new season, this is State's last year of relevancy. They won't be "bouncing back" any time soon. And they certainly won't be challenging us on our own field next year.

I want to feel bad for him and all but something about pride coming before the fall...

I needed a laugh, and this clip provided it.  I've not listened to the conference before, so listened to Harbaugh's interview for comparison.

At first I thought it was just that Dantonio did not answer the "would you like to make an opening statement?" question, was being petulant, and then hung up.  The payoff is better than that - almost a zen quality to it.

Our memories must be short because we have suffered many more awkward moments with our own head coaches in recent years. I don't take any pity on D'Antonio or the Spartans, but I also feel no need to bury them. Coach Harbaugh wins with grace and I'm happy to follow his example.

You know [eth2][Marge], you and I are very different people.

I am glad that Harbaugh is taking the high road regarding MSU and opponents in general.  That is the right approach and reflects well on the program.  He's the head coach, an official representative of Michigan, and it's good he's acting that way.

As a fan who has been listening to Spartan gloating for the better part of the past 8 years, this is a delicious comeuppance.  And Dantonio has been insufferable with respect to his attitude toward Michigan, so I savor every second of his discomfort.  I'm a glutton for it, in fact - and if MSU never won another B1G football game again I'd find that hilarious.

To be clear, I'm not rubbing Spartan fans' noses in their wretched season.  That's not my style, and they already know how their season is going.  But radio silence w/r/t a program (headed by a loathsome coach) that has been pleading to be nationally-recognized for years?  I really enjoy that, without a smidge of guilt.
