Hassan Haskins is STRONG - 27 bench reps at combine
Hassan Haskins put a ridiculous 27 bench press reps at the combine to lead all RBs.
To put that in context, only four OL participants did more, and H2 did three more reps than monster OT Daniel Faalele.
Will be interesting to see how he runs this afternoon.
Thanks for the update! Keep them coming
I thought he was only lifting and wasn't running.
That young man is going to get himself paid in a couple months.
He may not have the top end speed you’d want in your prototypical NFL RB, but so what? He checks all the other boxes, and when you need two yards, he’s going to get you three. He moves the sticks and that’s what matters.
Someone is going to find themselves drafting one hell of a player.
That's great. You can see how his stiff arms might've been effective.
Why can't I reply to someone's comment?
he can run. he can catch. he can block and he can bench. But he will not flinch.
Give that man a nice NFL contract!
One gets the feeling that "27" will become an even more important number in Michigan lore as time passes....
What an amazing career. One of the great backs at UM.
More reps than Faele is ridiculous, my god
His profile at nfl.com is ridiculous.
- Segmented running style lacks creativity.
- Will get what is blocked as an inside runner.
- Below-average elusiveness in space after the catch.

What dipshit came up with that?
Strong fella. Runs strong, lifts strong. Seems like there's a place in the league for him.
42 still better than 27.
He's going to make an NFL team very happy.
How much weight is on the bar?
225 pounds.
He qualifies as A Dude. Hope he has a good career in the pros.
If I could do that 5 times I would walk around like I was the biggest gangster in existence. That is pretty amazing.
Strong.. to very strong
The power he has, and ability to drive through tacklers you would think he was full-back size. Like 240 - 250 lbs. Dude is 220. He just benched more than himself 27 times. He's gotta be near the top pound-for-pound strongest guys in the draft.
I would love for the Lions to draft HH. Would 100% be the next jersey purchase for me.
You think that's impressive? You should see the number he put up in the Fools Hurdled drill.
There was a time in my twenties that I could do 9-10 reps with 225 ibs. I was 6' 190 lbs. I can't imagine doing 17 more reps. I think his squat numbers are even more impressive. I love his toughness and work ethic, but most of all I love his humility.
No running/jumping #'s??
Is he not participating in the non lifting events?
Interesting fact: Aidan Hutchinson is not participating in the 225 Bench Reps.
I just looked it up. He didn't run the 40 yard dash because of a lingering ankle injury. It's a shame because that could have bumped his stock a bit if he ran well.
Also for those that would like a visualization, 225 pounds on a bench is the bar itself plus two 45-pound plates on each side for a total of four plates.
wow. and from what i remember, everyone talked about how strong his legs were. do they have a leg rep test at the combine?
Sucks he’s not going to run. That’s where the biggest questions are surrounding his game as he transitions into the NFL game. Really could increase his stock with a good 40
More reps than Faele is ridiculous, my god
My athletic trainer friend always says it is hard to compare bench number across body types. OL wing span are often longer and cumulative reps means overall more muscle fatigue due to having the move the bar a little more each time.
Among running backs though, HH’s number is still staggering. The NFL Combine record for bench among RBs is 32 by Jerick McKinnon.
Michigans official roster/height/weights are suspect he was listed at 6-1 220 combine has him at 6-2 228. Charbonet came in 6-3 and then “shrunk” to 6-1almost like they don’t want any backs over 6-1.
Haskins running the 40 at his pro day is smart.
What in hell is a "segmented running style?"
Only 27? Must've been snowing.
Only 27? Must've been snowing.
Found the Gene Smith burner account.
He will run HARD!
And he will lunge forward for 2-3 more yards after completing the 40!
Book it!
