Grant Newsome vs Zach Miller injury
As some of you may have noticed (those who follow NFL more closely at least), Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller was carted off the field with a serious knee injury. This injury has later found to be a knee dislocation with a torn popliteal artery (artery behind the knee and main supplier of blood to the leg). I came across a very detailed page describing the injury, the timeline, and the prognosis.

Much of it so far seems to match up with Newsome's injury including the potential for limb loss, the number of surgeries/prolonged hospital stay, and the initial injury itself (knee dislocation).
For those wanting to read more on this injury, the link is above. They go on to discuss the prognosis of the injury later in the article. I will not delve into that currently as we should all be focused on supporting the young man and his recovery in relation to football activites or not.
Edit:
I also realize there is an OT topic on this a few posts down, but my post is more in relation to the comparison of the injuries and also posting this link for those further interested in the background behind the injury, the timeline, and the prognosis.

Your "edit" didn't save you. You reposted something already posted, and you should feel bad and apologize...

As I said, this isn't about the injury itself but for those wanting to know its relation to Grant Newsome (hence his name being the first two words of the post)

Yet look who's losing the argument in the court of public opinion!

Sometimes, you have to endure popular public opprobrium to do what's right. I shall endure and overcome...!!!

+1 for the use of "opprobium."
Because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if he's a psycho clown who lives in a sewer and eats children ... a good vocabulary should be lauded, dammit!

Actually the cost of consumer goods has been skyrocketing and the chance of capture for ransom unless you look latino would likely be quite high.
Oh you mean you were being sarcastic? Oops.

How similar was this to Bridgewater's? His must have been less severe but also believe he tore at least his acl and had a knee dislocation. If he also almost lost his leg I assume there would have been vascular concerns as well.

This was the best I could find on his. It seems like no nerve or artery damage for him which significantly improves the prognosis.

My knee hurts today too.

Yeesh, I thought my ACL surgery was bad.

The ones these guys suffered are God awful. I really hope both guys make it back to the field. Can't imagine the pain and work to just get back on their feet. Godspeed.
